No, thank you. Just left there after practically being run out of the door. I had the lunch special and somehow the price jumped up almost $10 when I received my check. I ordered the basic pasta with chicken. It tasted like chicken noodle soup without the broth. Lunch closed at 3. At 3:01, the waiter came and grabbed my plate and said, “I’ll box this up for you,” while I was still eating. The meal was supposed to come with complimentary bread and oil. When I asked him why I didn’t receive any but the table next to me did, he told me they didn’t have any ready when I sat down, so they made some fresh bread for the other table and I should have asked for some. And I’d get some the next time I came back. I will never be going back. The only positive thing I can say is that the sweet tea was perfectly sweet.

What an amazing place! The food was excellent and the service was top notch. The waitress was the best I have had in years. I am terrible with names, so unfortunately I do not remember hers. We had a party of 6 and stopped in after church on Sunday. We did not have to wait for a table. The atmosphere was very relaxing and very well decorated. There was even Italian music playing. I did not manage to get any pictures of our food before we all ate, but trust me…this place is a must try for Italian cuisine. We will definitely be returning.

Great food and fantastic service. I highly recommended the bruschetta! Will and Cal were phenomenal. Great atmosphere and truly a hidden gem. The rosemary toothpick was a great touch to enjoy on my way out.

We wanted to go for some quick lunch and we saw the menu outside, saw a rigatoni pomodoro for $11, so we went in. The pasta wasn’t very good, you could tell nothing was fresh (red sauce was canned, Parmesan was just the powdered stuff you’d get at Walmart, wife got a pasta with canned mushrooms – zero effort). But the part that bothered me the most is when we asked the waiter for the check. They have the machines the waiter brings to the table and just swipe the card there. The waiter just showed us a total, I gave him my card, ask for my receipt, and we walked out. When I saw the receipt, I saw that they had a rigatoni Bolognese, minus bolognese add pomodoro on there for $16. He knew exactly what he was doing by just showing us the total and not printing out a detailed ticket or anything. For a restaurant that is struggling (it was noon on a Sunday and there was only one family there), I would expect a little bit more to try to have people come back.

Beautiful inside. Great service and tasty food. I recommend the expresso martini. Hubby had lasagna no complaints and I had the lobster Ravioli delish!!! Brought home dessert I’ll update later.

Only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the manager was nice and comped our burnt pizza and burnt calzone. We told/showed the manager our food was burnt because we didn’t really see our server much and she dropped off the burnt pizza/calzone.

Wow! Fontina has quickly become our new favorite McKinney restaurant! I highly recommend the Sicilian Salmon with the perfect combination of flavor bursts. My husband is in love with the very tender veal piccata. The service was excellent. We lived in Europe for a few years and this is as close to those flavorful dishes as you can get in Texas! You will thank us after you try it!

I’ve been coming to the McKinney Square for years so I’ve seen multiple different restaurants in the building now occupied by Fontina. The renovations they did are superb! The dining room is absolutely beautiful, with lots of greenery and natural elements. I just popped in for a quick drink and some to-go food. I had a white Russian – delish – and the lobster ravioli. The ravioli is to die for! The sauce that comes with it is the best. I will definitely need to come in for the whole dinner experience. Can’t wait!
