Started as a pop-up in 2017 on California’s Central Coast, F’n K Tacos taco shop brings flavors to Rockford inspired by family in Jalisco, Mexico and East LA. Think real good street-style tacos on fresh corn tortillas. Husband and wife team, Frank ‘n Kaitlin, are committed to using fresh, high-quality ingredients, creating authentic flavors, and providing uncommonly good service in a fun atmosphere. Their staple tacos include carne asada, machaca chicken, and pork barbacoa, plus rotating specials that are more traditional, like Lengua, and specials that are based on fresh, local fare with fish and vegetables.

Small specialty taco restaurant in the heart of downtown Rockford, MI. A nice variety of tacos with homemade tortillas, chips, guacamole, salsa, etc. All fresh ingredients and very tasty! You can get take-out or dine in with limited seating. Will go again. My wife had the machaca beef taco and I had the shrimp taco along with chips and quac. Yum!

Went with a couple people after a kayak trip. Really liked the shrimp tacos and my partner got two barbacoa. The reason I give it 3 stars is because the tacos needed at least two corn tortillas to hold together and price. I believe it was around 30 for 4 tacos with a tip.

We found a new taco fav in Rockford. Food was incredible! The Shrimp, Asada and Pork were so good. Can’t wait to try the other options. Loved the salsas too. The owners were so kind and gave over the top great service. We will definitely be back. Our son said he wants to go for his birthday with his buddies!

As a native Californian that transplanted to Rockford, MI… When F’n K Tacos moved into the neighborhood, I HAD to try it. I was NOT disappointed! The atmosphere reminded me of all the taqueria’s I frequented as a kid. Frank and his crew are so friendly! This CA girl definitely gives the entire experience an 11 out of 10!

This is a truly quality taco stop! I was incredibly impressed with the quality and flavor of the meats. Their portioning works perfectly and fits the taco without overfilling them too much (after all, tacos are really meant for handhold eating). One of the most impressive components was the tortillas! Handmade right when you order, they were a little thicker, fluffy and soft. Since they were so fresh, they didn’t split open and spill the taco everywhere!

Get the pork tacos, they’re ridiculously good. No matter how many I get I always wish I’d bought at least one more. Their hot salsa is delicious but the heat level is no joke, proceed with caution.

I ordered one of each of their tacos. They have a meatless taco, but that’s a waste of time and calories. What’s a taco without meat?!? I had hot sauce on the side. The steak taco was amazing. The pieces of steak were ‘not too big, not too small’. When they’re too small they get over cooked. When they’re too big they can be tough to chew. Just the right size and great flavor. The chicken was very flavorful. The pork was my favorite. So much flavor in the meat.

Very high quality food! Incredible tacos! Not a huge seating area – all bar height. But if you wanted you could take it out anywhere downtown, glad to have this restaurant in our city!

Truly delicious! I ordered a small 20 person catering order and they provided excellent service. Everyone was genuine and polite and the food was hot and tasted great! They were great at accommodating our vegan and vegetarian options.
