The dining experience was great. Had the lunch teriyaki and a couple of the nigiri lunch specials. The food was fresh and the atmosphere was clean. Had some reservations against the low rating but from my understanding it’s from the old ownership because the new owner had this place less than a year. Would come back again!

My favorite sushi restaurant hands down! Staff is so friendly, prices are good, portions are amazing, and comes with free sides! We’re regulars here and we really do love it

Me and my wife decided to visit Flying Sushi for a lunch date and we both enjoyed ourselves. She began with a Homare Aladdin Yuzu “Citeus”, Soke and she wouldn’t stop talking about it . I highly recommend it. We shared 2 sushi rolls and they were the best rolls I’ve had in roughly 4-5 years. One was called the Evergreen which is super light and has 4 different types of fish wrapped in cucumber without the skin. The 2nd roll I don’t remember the name but there’s a picture included. That was the star. The salmon on top was so fresh. But what we appreciate more was how the itamae didn’t use much rice. The roll was delicious. This place filled up with customers mins after we arrived, so come early. Lastly, it’s a nice place to catch up with a friend or a date.

Been there more than a couple of times and I must say the sushi was always served fresh, hence the meals were absolutely delicious. Very quick service, also the staff treated me very well. I definitely recommend this place.

The place is very nice and clean. I see the wearing gloves when preparing the sushi, and the staff always wash their hands prior to handling the food so I see they take the proper hygiene seriously. Loved the food, specially the sushi hand rolls. If you are aiming for experiencing some great variety of fresh sushi, this is the place.

This tiny sushi restaurant really is a hidden gem. The price was right, the food was great, and the staff was kind and quick to bring my food out. I would recommend this place to any sushi lover.

My crunch roll had raw panko on top and the shrimp was not all the way browned. VERY dissapointing. I don’t know if the restaurant changed ownership, chefs, or the fryer was broken but this was not worth the money. My husband’s dragon roll was not good either. California rolls were okay and kids liked the teriyaki but we go for the sushi and I’m sad to say this business failed us!

Awesome sushi and Japanese food restaraunt. The Sajo roll is the best sushi roll I have had in Tacoma. Also got the beef terriyaki and it was great! Highly recommend.

This sushi restaurant is one of the hidden gems in the Tacoma area. Their sashimi always melts within a second of putting it in your mouth. The service is always great and the prices are very reasonable. I wish they were more closer to my home. Me and my wife will always stop by whenever we pass by.
