This was a hard one to rate, because my score is more like 3.5. Online ordering is easy, prices are ok. It’s pretty standard Chinese fast food. Our order was accurate, my side request was honored. I was a bit turned off by the person at the counter, though. She was busy, sure so I forgive some brusqueness, but also had the edge some people give off when they honestly couldn’t be bothered with you if you were bleeding in the road. Back to the food- the sesame chicken wasn’t bad at all- the sauce was more like syrup, but since it was a junk food night, it was welcome. The chow mein fun was pretty good, too. I liked tasting the sesame oil. I’m really very tempted to bump it to four stars now, but there are a couple less expensive dishes I want to try and see if they hit the spot. And really, not treating customers like an inconvenience can help ensure repeat business. Maybe it was a bad day. But I’m willing the give them another shot the next time Red House is closed. But not likely before.

If I could give this place a negative amount of stars I would, The customer service was absolutely horrible, the place is VERY unsanitary, the food was discussing and they are way over priced. Instead of egg drop soup I got Campbell’s chicken rice soup? Who does that?! To top it all off they over charged me and wouldn’t refund me. An absolutely horrible place. Will not be back!

I wish the woman that takes orders understood and/or could speak better english. She also seems to have a rotten personality. Anyway, if you order the beef lo mein, DO NOT expect big pieces of beef! They give thin small strips of meat. I use to like their spring rolls, they had a good taste to them, but this last time I had them, they were bland. It had been about 6 months since I last ate there & will probably be another 6 if not longer…

I really hate to do this because it used to be my favorite Chinese take out spot. Long and short my order was incomplete a large vegetable lo mein. They caught it and called me to advise of such and if I could come back and get it. Unfortunately my car would not start (the alternator happened to die). So I explained that the car wouldn’t start and I wouldn’t be able to come back and get it and could she have it dropped off by a driver instead. It was getting kind of late and she advised that the driver had gone home for the night. She assured me that should would take my name down and she would remember me. So months later I decide to check back to see if she would honor the to come and get my missed item and I call them and get the lady who works the counter and answers the phone. Sadly she claimed she did not remember me and how they write notes to make sure. Cool so I run down the scenario to see if I could jog her memory. I felt it was pretty unique having my car break down right after grabbing an order that they called to advise of an item that was missed. She still proclaimed that she didn’t remember, asked when I ordered and explained to me that they take notes on what was missed when. So I’m disappointed now. And I ask how many orders have they missed and the customer said they couldn’t make it back because their car broke down? I get the impression that she doesn’t want to honor the agreement we had that I could come and get it at some other time. And she confirms this by telling me it happened 4 months ago. “Oh so you remember me now”. But she obviously doesn’t want to take care of the customer. So I say “OK don’t worry about it.” It was $14 or so not a major loss for me but I guess I spend about $300/year there and $14 bucket of lo mein would’ve had me spend that usual amount the remaining year. So in turn a $14 costed them a loyal customer. It wasn’t like I was tryin to get over them. It was a legitimate mistake they made that they could’ve made right. She could’ve and should’ve refunded my card. Which wasn’t offered either. I’ve ordered from there several more times but they were online orders. This was my first opportunity to slip in since I was in the area. I would be able to look beyond them slipping with the food as well had they taken care of me but my last order also had half cooked spring rolls and they seem like they are slipping because they are rushed or overwhelmed but it hasn’t been the same quality as before. Them not being willing to fix this small issue will not allow me to do business here anymore.
