I have previously visited the Florida Cracker Kitchen in Jacksonville, is always a great brunch and lunch spot when by the beach. However the Homosassa location is on an entire different level. Entire compound, detached riverside bar with view of Monkey Island (yes real monkeys), hotel, and the restaurant. Seemed to be a very busy marina location so plenty of good people fishing or scalloping to support the large facility. Every server and staff was over the top enjoyable. So many laughs. You can’t skip the gift shop! The bloody Mary mix and pour is the best we’ve had. They will cook your burger medium which I appreciate as a lil pink is best especially around breakfast time. Fried shrimp basket was perfect. Service and seating fast even on a wait. Don’t skip it, or go out of your way to visit! You’ll be glad you did.

6 adults and one child had brunch for less than $100. Don’t let the price fool you. Every dish was prepared and presented perfectly. Portions were ample and our server was on top of every request. A++

Good country style food with large portions. Service was friendly. Sweet tea and reg tea mixed up but got it fixed. Hot cocoa not great, watery not replaced or fixed.

Breakfast was great this morning! We walked in and was greeted by all the friendly staff. Our server was very prompt to come to the table and super friendly (I think it was Jessica). I ordered the breakfast special with 2 eggs, I substituted the meat option for ham, and potatoes, and my husband ordered the cinnamon bun and a breakfast sandwich. Everything was so good and it was lots of food! It is very rare we leave leftovers on the plate but today was one of those days. Highly recommend!

The place is general was super nice I loved the atmosphere and staff but my only complaints are the fact it’s cash only…I don’t see why that’s needed in today’s age. My second complaint is the bread used for the gator poboy was rock hard and hard to eat so I chose to just pick apart the sandwich. Other then that it’s a very delightful place

was told i could get coffee from the counter since it was a long wait for a table, counter help not happy about making the coffee, gave me nothing to stir it with and some rotten creamer, was seated and showed the waitress my coffee with curdled green and rotting creamer in it, was given new coffee and creamer, again rotten creamer, was told they were not given shelf stable creamer in the last truck… ok so you know the creamer needs to be refrigerated you know there’s a problem with it yet you do not keep it chilled and continue to serve it??? after the second time of wanting to vomit in the only cup of coffee in this place i decided to just get some oj… so no coffee for me on vacation… the restaurant doesn’t take cards but the bar owned by the same person does??? the eggs were not cooked correctly which is always stunning in a place known for breakfast… this restaurant is definitely not living up to the hype on my first visit… going to waffle house instead tomorrow… you hear me i would rather go to waffle house… shame shame everyone knows your name
