Food was flavorful, could be a bit spicier but that’s subjective. Excellent service and ambience. Clean it up!

Great food, ambiance and service! We had a friends get together and we had the most wonderful time, sharing food ( very big portions, by the way), having great deserts as well, and we didn’t realize that we were past the closing time! Totally recommend this restaurant! And the cocktail/ bar guy is totally awesome! Try Rose Gimlet for a surprise !

I had never really been a huge fan of Indian food until I went here. The service is amazing and the people are very kind! I love the seating as well (very comfortable). But most of all the food is just delicious, there are many different options! They serve hand made ice cream that is SO GOOD! My #1 Indian restaurant!

Earlier this month I ate at Flavor of India and they had some of the best food I have ever eaten. The staff was friendly and attentive. The only small mark against them was it took a bit to get seated, but the wait was worth it. I will be returning.

I was really disappointed to see Big Fish close and honestly was not very excited about another Indian cuisine restaurant opening up as we have so many options already….But I have to say Flavor of India is really fantastic. The bartender Damian is a true artists and really wants to bring craft cocktail options to our neighborhood…and so far so good. In regards to the menu, it’s not overwhelming and the food we ordered was all very good (samosas on point!) We ordered the Tiki Masala with minimal spice and as others have commented it could use a bit more even at a “1”, so just be sure to ask for a little extra heat. We’ll definitely be coming back!

My close friend and I went for an early dinner to this place which has a great location. We were welcomed in and we sat on the table. The menus were presented to us almost immediately, however we had to call an attendant after waiting for almost 20 minutes. Someone came and then said oh I will send the server – but that also took another 5 minutes. The restaurant had only 2-3 tables occupied. So the experience started off shaky, but we thought they would make it worth it with their food. We ordered a few drinks along with an appetizer and a main entree. I requested them to serve the wine, mock tail and the appetizer first followed by the entree’. We waited for another 20 minutes and then called the attendant again. He came with 2 small plates. Then came the papdi chat, and the entree with no drinks. I ordered seekh chicken kebab which was supposed to be served with basmati rice and greens. I was shocked when the cold chicken pieces came in just pieces on a plate with no rice, veggies or onions. I called the server and complained. He said oh this doesn’t look like the kebabs – these are chicken bites, I said ok, makes sense and waited for my real entree. The cook from the kitchen came in his apron and got a cold plate with plain rice and broccoli and bell peepers in a plate and a cold samosa to compensate for it. He said I was served chicken seekh kebab. I didn’t care about the samosa as I wanted to enjoy what I ordered. Papdi chat had tomatoes and green chilies with so much yogurt liquid that it was tasteless. The food had no sodium, no taste whatsoever but the prices were not nominal for the below average or rather BAD food they offer. They don’t know what they are serving and have no sense of serving, customer service or courtesy. After being extremely frustrated, we waited for them to bring in the check- no one came and we had to call them again after 15 minutes of waiting. No one came to ask us for anything during our meal as well. Finally when the rude attendant, also the receptionist came to our table and asked how was everything, we told them exactly what was wrong to which his reaction was ok and shrugged his shoulders. His attitude was rude, obnoxious and disrespectful. He got the check and threw it on the table to which I almost lost it- I left with NO tip for the FIRST time – I am a generous tipper and usually tip more than 20-22%. It doesn’t take me much to be happy eating out- the food or service makes up for it even if one is compromised. This was an AWFUL experience and I don’t think I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes decent service, quality food and respectful atmosphere.

I’ve been here a few times now. The last time, I came with a group. I was able try a few different entrees. They did not disappoint. The staff was attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is very much like the original Big Fish Grille. The décor has not changed, lol. The food is excellent. The drinks are fine. If you live near the Highlands, give this place a try. I love to support family businesses. I hope this place thrives! You really can’t have enough good Indian food.
