We visited last week on a Saturday afternoon around 12. The place looks like a BBQ joint with signs matching the theme. The music was nice, and there is seating indoors and out on their covered patio. The patio has the grill/smoker on one side. Not sure if that affects anyone sitting outside when they open it since we did not sit there. We sat in a booth. They do not have cushions on them. Bring something soft if you need it.

This was our first time trying this place out and it was great! Asked for fatty brisket and it did not disappoint. The ribs were delicious and the pulled pork and sausage were great too. Staff and owners were super friendly and we are looking forward to coming back!

I’ve been to countless barbecue restaurants, this one tops the charts! The staff treated us like family and made sure we were accommodated. The interior was clean, the seating was plentiful, and the food was a solid 11/10. Make sure you come early if you want to try the entire menu, they make everything fresh! GREAT FOOD!!! a little hidden gem in The Colony. We love Hutchins & Tender but they need to watch out for this place! We decided to try it out after passing it over many times. Please keep in mind they’re only open on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. The brisket was on point, thick slices that were very tender, I did not use a knife at all. Pulled pork was delicious and tender! Sausage was fantastic! We wanted to try the chicken and turkey, but they were sold out. Price very reasonable!! We will definitely be back here!

OMG! If you’re looking for a good down-home barbecue, check out Flatrock Smokehouse in The Colony! You can’t beat the flavor! Everything was exceptional! We tried the collard greens, fried okra, smoked sausage, ribs, brisket mac & cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, and chicken! Yeah, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! Topped it off with peach cobbler! They were featured on Good Morning Texas and were awarded the Best Restaurant 2022 by The Colony Magazine!

I must say for a barbeque spot, this plave is Very clean restaurant. I like the counter ordering system with other staff moving the food. We tried the Brisket sandwich (comes with pickles, peppers and onions) it was awesome with the nest buttered bun. Even the small okra was good for 3 people. Turkey is moist and delicious. The sauce is nice and spicy.

Please give this business a try. I’ve been twice so far and I haven’t been disappointed yet. The staff and the owners are so sweet and down to Earth. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The prices are reasonable. Im going back to try the catfish. The have enough parking for customers and enough space on the inside as well. Go support, it’s worth it!!!

I looked up BBQ places near me and found this place. I tried their Friday Catfish Special and I gotta say it was the BEST fried catfish I ever had! So fresh and delicious! They make their own special tartar sauce that is to die for! Their beans were incredible, slow cooked with brisket to absolute perfection! Coke slaw incredible too. A MUST visit! Very friendly staff. I felt like family from the manager, cash register and even cooks!

First time at this place and I can say the food is amazing! Really good southern bbq place in The Colony that everyone should check out. I got a 2 meat & 2 sides plate (you can build your own) Ribs, Chicken, Fries and Regular Mac & Cheese. Def a 10/10!! Staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome!
