This is not a chopped cheese. The flavoring was off. The bbq sweet taste was not what I expected. They charge for lettuce tomatoes etc. which is standard on a chopped cheese. I was recommended the “mozzy” sandwich and didn’t come with the extras I paid for. I am really disappointed and should have made my chopped cheese at home. I don’t think I will be back here again, too many other food options that won’t disappoint.

Went here a few days ago not expecting it to be as good as it was! As a native New Yorker, I was surprised to see a chopped cheese joint in the dc area. Initially, I didn’t think it would be close to authentic but it reminded me of my childhood bodega when I’d go after school for a chopped cheese. Shoutout to flat out!!! So delicious, definitely will be back 🙂

I could smell the deliciousness of the chop cheese cooking from the kitchen while I was staring at the menu contemplating what to order. I figured if I can’t decide between the mozzy chop cheese and chop cheese I’d get both. The best decision I’ve made because ever since then I’ve been back on multiple occasions. Definitely taste the freshness in product and will be back soon!

Worse chopped cheese sandwich…..As a native NYer this has to be a bad imitation of a chopped cheese sandwich. Not sure why you would add liquid smoke to your meat. It’s way overpowering and not needed. Also adding sweetness with mumbo sauce is not it. Eliminate those two things off the sandwich and maybe it may taste like a chopped cheese. Simplicity is the best way to make a chopped cheese, that’s what makes it good.

My single patty was the saddest smallest “burger” I’ve ever seen, what’s a patty 4oz, seriously order a double or triple. The bun was squashed. I wish I could add the picture because it was a sad example of a hamburger. The fries were really good though.
