The poke here is definitely above average. I also really like their mixes. Honest to the primary ingredients and the sauces and garnishes all contribute to the overall taste.

One of the first places that we came to eat after landing in Waikiki was Five Star Poke. It’s a food cart located in a small food cart pod at Kuhio and Kapuni. This is one of the better poke spots in the immediate Waikiki area and we came back once more before leaving.

Every poke restaurant is going to have its own unique style and flavor to differentiate themselves. We found Five Star to be super solid and portion size was enough for us. The fish was fresh and we liked that the bowls were warm and the salmon was lightly seared. Each bowl option has a different topping, like fresh onions, wasabi and green onion ‘salsa’, etc.

First of three (1/3) spots for my “poke challenge” during this trip. This was among the highest rated in Waikiki area. Went directly here for lunch after checking into hotel. I asked to half and half my 2 choice bowl into “original shoyu garlic ahi and salmon jalapeño.” Taste and flavors were good, nothing spectacular; freshness was good; price was rather high for portion size. Overall, 4* for this poke bowl.

This poke is delicious! I had the Gold Ginger Shoyu Salmon and it was so tasty. The ginger avocado sauce they use compliments the food so well. Grab your order and take it to the beach for an amazing meal and view!

Got the number 3 and 6 combo here. It was really good. I didn’t like the ginger lemonade that much to be honest. But the poke was great. They could prolly use a little more seating here for the amount of people who come.

Five star for a reason. The poke here is reasonably priced for a place in Waikiki, and is absolutely fantastic. The shrimp and tako were good, but the seared salmon I tried from a friend was so amazing I had to go back and buy another bowl just for it. It’s also next to Huladog and minutes away from the beach. Only thing they could do better is provide mac salad, and they’d have to become six star poke

Tried the spicy mayo Ahi. Really tender and flavorful fish, complimented well by the spicy mayo and crispy and green onion garnish. All of it being served on a bed of warm rice makes this a refreshing, filling, and tasty meal. I received my food almost immediately after ordering, and the gentleman serving was very friendly. You get my 5 stars!
