Absolutely LOVE Five Lakes. Their lattes are delicious, their bagels are always great, and the atmosphere is really nice for studying. However. Every time I’ve gone in, the worker named “Kale” or “Kate” I believe just makes the experience very disappointing. I’ve came to Five Lakes to support the business probably 9 or 10 times in the last month, and any time she was working, it was just a bad experience. She has a bad attitude, rolls her eyes at customers, seems to have absolutely no care for customer service, and uses a very demeaning tone of voice towards PAYING customers. I worked as a Barista too so I know it can be stressful. However, I know that customer service is half the job. If she can’t treat customers with respect due to the busy atmosphere becoming too stressful, this really is not the job for her. Very very disappointing when a fantastic place with other fantastic workers is being brought down by one person. Would be 5 stars if it weren’t for the consistently bad experiences every time she happens to be working.

They were real nice & cute coffee shop with nice ppl working inside! I loved multiple size choices and multiple flavors for your latte as well! A guy barista was so nice helping us order for the first time.

Such a tough rating to give because the coffee itself is absolutely wonderful. The flavor shots are great. But if you’re not mindful it can stack up and make for one whopper of a coffee. I got a large latte with 3 flavor shots and it cost almost $10. Their pastries are really sub par though. Wouldn’t recommend any of them, and theyre kept in some Tupperware containers below the counter. The place is clean though and they’ve finally opened the chairs on the patio outside. If you’re willing to pay a pretty penny you are definitely getting one of the best cups of coffee in town.

My partner and I love coming to Five Lakes Coffee! The drive thru is really fast and the menu is super diverse depending on what you like. My partner usually gets a Cold Brew with Vanilla Cold foam and Five Lakes version is much better than Starbucks. They have a variety of desert bars and scones as well 🙂

Five Lakes Coffee on Main St, Kalamazoo, is roomy, well lit, and with warm and attentive client service. It also has a comfortable parking lot. We come on some Sunday afternoons to play the ancient game of Go with the Kalamazoo Go Club. We feel at home.

A much needed coffee shop on the kzoo west side 1 mile from downtown. Great coffee, somewhat limited food options, however, bagles and smoothies and other treats. Always staffed with friendly help. Plenty of seating as well as outdoor patio. Plenty of parking and Drive-thru. Fair prices.
