My dad and I stopped here on our way out of La Crosse after we finished packing up my daughter’s stuff and moving her back home for the summer from college. He’d never been there so I thought it’d be a good time to have him give it a try. He really liked the food but almost couldn’t finish his burger; his order was almost exactly the same as mine, which was a Cheeseburger ( which, in Five Guy’s lingo, is a double ), some fries and a drink. As with every time I’ve eaten at one of these restaurants, the food was HEAVENLY and I left the place groggy and nearly in a food coma. On top of the excellent food, the employees were all in a good mood, the restaurant was clean and tidy and the bathroom was in very good shape.

It took at least 15mins to get our food… We ordered 3 burgers. 2 of those had no toppings (we asked for all the way minus mushrooms). We also ordered Cajun fries but got regular soggy fries instead. Waste of my time and money. 0 out of 5, would not recommend. You’re better off going to Hardee’s.

First time going to Five Guys, so my experience is based on a first impression. – The burger I ordered was good, they have lots of options for toppings at no extra cost. Service at the register was decent, but the people working on the food in my mind were below standards. It seemed like there were quite a few people behind the counter, but not a lot of activity or productivity to get orders out.

So here’s the deal – I love Five Guys, I always have. I made it a practice to stop if I happened to be on business in a town with one.

The manager was barking orders while I was ordering then switched with another employee mid order. Food was good if the burger had a little seasoning it would have been perfect. We were there about 1230, theybopen at 11am and the ketchup was empty. One employee who I think was motivated on the clock, but in uniform was there eating and barged in front of me 2x. Overall good experience but a little manners go a long way.

The person at the register didn’t take my order correctly, or the people I was with correctly when asked to correct the order they did nothing…..so we just had to except what was getting to us at the price….. Manager has to tell same employee to stay at the station while customers are at the register… Almost yelling. Everyone in the restaurant heard… Walk into the establishment sidewalk black full of nasty grease. It’s been spilled…… Employees coming on shift looking like they just got out the bed very unprofessionally not well groomed at all……no one with long hair has hair net on…… Cashier using dirty rag to wipe off tables…. Garbage overflowing…. Employees more worried about having conversations than serving customers…… French fries cold undercut. No salt or seasoning whatsoever, very bland

I went on opening day so my review still has potential to change, as I don’t think it’s 100% fair to judge a place based solely on their opening day. The staff was friendly and helpful, even though the line was pretty long the staff did not rush me to order when I didn’t know what I wanted. I got a burger and fries. I think the burger itself doesn’t have enough flavor, it’s pretty bland. The fries however were really good, and I appreciate that they use peanut oil since it has little to no cholesterol so even though it’s fried it’s still healthier than most other oils. I will be going back in the coming weeks, as I said I don’t think it’s fair to make my judgment on opening day.

For the price of the food you would think it would be something at least a little special. I am not a fan of the fries. Even though they were made fresh the were still soggy. The burger is nothing special other than there’s a lot of it. I found myself impatient to get my food and get out. The staff acted like it was a chore to serve me.

Warning the food was good but it was like $12 for just a burger and the burger was not that big. Fries were like $4. It just seems like a lot for a burger and fries. I know corporate probably sets their prices but that is a lot for fast food especially if you bring your whole famly

Cheap atmosphere, horrendously high prices, and terrible service. The food was ok, but not anywhere near good enough to justify what they are asking for it. $12 for a simple single patty bacon cheeseburger is ridiculous. $7 for a small hotdog with a slice of cheap American cheese on it. $6 for a regular order of fries, which were just dumped all over the inside of the bag instead of into the cup they should have been in. We ate inside so the bag was never justled around enough for that to be acceptable. My milkshake had shards of plastic in it from the guy busting the lid and apparently not caring. The store is new and looks cheap and greasy already. Ridiculous, we won’t be returning.
