Stopped in for the first time after driving by it for years. Ordered a club sandwich on sour dough and the portion size is generous. Lettuce and tomato was fresh. The store has a country grocer section, which had some desserts, produce, eggs, syrups, preserves, and spices. When you first enter, there are some crafted items and a wine selection. There were some handmade seasonal cookies, too.

I had a daily special that was great! It was a very crispy chicken sandwich on a brioche bun with spicy mayo and pickles. It came with a side and drink for less than $10. The broccoli salad that I chose as my side was perfect. It was not too sweet and was very fresh.

Hidden little gem of a store. Menu is simple, primarily sandwiches and baked goods, but everything is delicious. I tried the chicken salad sandwich and was impressed with the quality of the meat. Blueberry pie was also delicious and not too sweet.

Little known fact: the Lunch Box sells fresh seafood. We picked up some outstanding walleye at far less per pound and far closer to home than our previous source offered. We’re anxious to try the Friday fish fry.

One of the coolest places we have ever been for a meal. Excellent food including daily specials plus delicious style deli made sandwiches to order. Building is original, built in in the early 1920’s. Store is full of unique items for sale from local vineyards and local craftsmen /artisans. 🙂
