A casual dining experience for the whole family overlooking the bay on 21st Street. Fish Tales, located in Bahia Marina, used to be just a locals hang out. Throughout the years the word has spread about this treasure on the bay. Come join the fun day or night.
We love Kids at Tales! Huge Pirate Playground and every kid’s meal comes with a free FT Frisbee!
Dogs are welcome on our Boardwalk area at Tales! Complimentary water in dog bowls can be found and please note, all dogs must be leashed and well behaved.
We do not take reservations – it’s first come, first served.
Our Happy Hour is Monday-Friday from 2pm-6pm.
Bloody Mary Bar on Sunday from 11am-3pm.

Wow, I can’t say enough. The seafood burrito was amazing. The seafood mix grill was good. The shrimp were a little tough but still good flavor and everything else was great. The clam strips were the best I have ever had. Just an excellent experience overall. Got to watch the sunset over the bay. And kid enjoyed playing in the play area while waiting for our table. And there was a face painter there as well, which was a nice touch.

Food comes out quick, and tastes great. The play area for the kids is clutch for when there is a longer wait time. Bar area is also accessible for adults. Lots of chairs scattered around to wait also. Nice place to hang out and have a drink. They have great gluten free options as well. Some amazing sunsets over the bay.

We started off by putting our name in and let just say off the bat even waiting is fun in this place as you have all different kinds of things to do for kids and adults the arcade and the playhouse is great to keep kids occupied and the views blow people away. The management is great as it is organized with getting texts and use of phones is organized great and honestly I had a lot of fun just waiting. Once we were seated our waitress was amazing and nice and got drinks super fast and all my family ordered the crab cake sandwhich which was amazing. Beautifully cooked and the lettuce and sauces really made it taste great and the music and the atmosphere is amazing along with the views highly recommend and fun for all people in the family!

This place was an awesome spot to eat while watching the sunset. There was a long line but the wait was short and the service was excellent. The food was great and my family enjoyed their meals. Definitely recommend this spot but come early because this place is popular!!

This is a great restaurant to eat at right on the bay side over looking the water. Good food and drinks. There is an outdoor play area for the kids that is 100% blocked off from the outside so no one can get in or out without leaving the restaurant seating area. Outside tables are in the sand and gives you that outside beach vibe.

Fish Tails is a long time favorite. A place I will visit many times while vacationing in OC. I love the atmosphere and the option to dine under the roof or in the sun. This year I opted to dine in the sun with my toes in the sand.

The grouper with the tartar sauce gets a full 5 stars! This is a casual dining experience on the bay with a beach atmosphere. Seating was quick, service was great. This is a place worth visiting again.
