Used to love this place, it’s like it’s under new management, Fish is way undersized for the price French fries are frozen style. Such a shame.

My brother and I came in to the restaurant to grab a bite to eat on the way home in Crosby. We walked in and there were no customers and no employees present. We sat at the table and looked at a menu thinking that someone would be out shortly but no one came. We sat there for several minutes until we got concerned that no one was coming. I finally picked my head around the corner into the kitchen and the employee was standing there on her phone and told me that she would be with me in a minute. We did finally get waited on and we got our food which was really good. Had to ask for everything. All of the tables in the restaurant were dirty. They had been cleared but had never been wiped so there was food all over them. Only a couple of the napkin dispensers and the whole restaurant had any napkins so we had to get up and exchange ours for one of those. Had to ask for silverware. Had to ask for refills and then was told we could get our own. This was our 1st and possibly our last time to eat at a Fish Tales.

The server was very nice but alone so for reasons not her fault very slow and unattentive. They ONLY have ranch dressing and no ther for the salads. The blackened catfish and dirty rice were way way over salted and my wife couldn’t even eat them. The fried catfish is the standard fish you get from a frozen box, mechanical breaded and frozen. Not great but not terrible. The crab awesome tasted old and fishy. The meal and overall experience was nowhere near the 50 buck we paid. This included a tip because the failings of the wait staff were not her ow . I would not eat here again.

We were the only ones there & the food took forever to come out. Service was very poor. The onion rings & crab cake were good. Fish taco left a lot to be desired. Upon checking out I ask about the sides that were listed w/ our meal & they just forgot. Then not to long after she mentioned they were out of red beans for the red beans & rice. She offered to take 10% off the fish tacos. Ok, thanks! When I got to the car I see the discount PLUS a service charge fee of $1.29??? WTH I paid in cash…. Which also the menu said there was a discount for cash payments. I didn’t care about that & didn’t even ask. I understand the cost of doing business & did not expect a discount, but don’t be SHADY and add a service fee for about the same amount you discounted off.

I called in for carry out and had to wait for 30mins after I called it in 30 mins prior. There were not any customers. The food was dry and bland , not to mention so over cooked the chicken was dry dry. Very over priced foe poor quality and taste.

Down right nasty, cocktail sauce was discolored I didn’t dare eat that had a pinkish color just didn’t look right food wasn’t anything to right home about. Had the duo fish and shrimp. Should have known better when I pulled up at 4:30 pm only had one couple there eating. The female when I walked in didn’t acknowledge me at all. After a while I got up to leave and she came out the kitchen area I told her she could have at least acknowledge me when I walked in. Anyway I stayed and ate (my mistake) should have left. The sides were $6.00 each which I thought was way overpriced. Will not be back!

My brother and I used to religiously go to this place to eat after school; we loved it. I went a few day ago, and I still think it is a great place. The server is kind, the food is HOT & FRESH, overall a great place to eat. My favorite side from this place are the hushpuppy.

The service was terrible. I stood at the front counter while the waitress walked by me 3 different times not aknowledging me, when she finally does I ask for a straw? No straws? What restraunt doesn’t have straws? She never once came to our tabke to see if we needed anything, a another drink, desert nothing. Then we paid for food that we never recieved, and as we get ready to leave I went to ask about our food we never received but the waitress stayed in the kitchen talking instead of paying attention to customers in the lobby. The food was good they just need better servers.
