You know it’s gonna be good and affordable when they have the old menu boards. Small subs 8$, a large is 9$, good sandwiches with nice soft fresh bread under 10$ will keep me coming back every time . Pizza Small 8” 6$, medium 10” is 8$, large 16” pizza 12$, old school sub shop pie.

Worst place ever. I am from Providence and this place looked good from the outside. Ordered large Italian sub what a mess. 6 thin slices of bologna and a couple of very thin slices of italian meat on soft bread (not like you see in photos) a few pickles and onions…..unreal……it was like my 5 year old grandson made it. Avoid this place at least for the subs. sorry but have to tell the truth, not your truth just the TRUTH. With Coke was over $12 how sad

We stopped here while passing through Walpole on a long bike ride. The gentleman at the counter filled up our water bottles and sold us three delicious, refrigerated apples. We couldn’t stay to try the hot food. What a welcoming place!

I have had a couple of subs from this store. The young adults that work here are very nice and hard working. I tried to order, from the menu up on the wall, a steak pizza. The adult gentleman said, “I would not recommend it, the steak is usually raw.” I didn’t understand that answer and as I asked for more information, I was told that “… there is not enough time for the steak to cook.” I said ok, please cook the steak like you would for the steak sub and make me a white pizza and put the cooked steak on it for me please. He said no, I asked why not, I’ll pay for both, he said “… that is not the way we make it.” After being told to go someplace else, I did, right up the corner and I have never been back again. To be fair, the other subs were fine; however, average meat etc. This business lost future purchases by me as well as from my five additional family members plus all my friends.

I paid $7 for a bland half of a sub, with bland tomato sauce and rubbery sausage. I could make a better sub at home for a fraction of the cost. My partner had a pastrami sub with a sliver of provolone and no sauce, and when they asked for sauce it was just haphazardly sprayed on the sub roll. Egg salad was decent, and that is the only reason it gets two stars instead of one. I was surprised at how bad it was given all the good reviews, but I will not be eating from here again.

I have been food from the first Sandwich shop since I was a kid growing up in my parents house. Everything here is great and delicious. It is the perfect small town local pizza and sandwich shop. I personally love their Antipasto Salad which is unmatched anywhere in the area!!!!!

Fast delicious hot huge pizza .for the very reasonable price that I usually pay for a small. We sat outside at the tables the kids ran around and played ~ we were comfortable and had a great time. The young lady at the counter was fast helpful and friendly. Will come again. In fact have ordered take out pizza twice.

First Sandwich Shopdoesn’t only make outstanding, clean and well priced sandwiches, they are also hones, people with integrity and very high standards. My son had a very good sandwichwith his friend the other day, he forget his wallet which had good amount of cash, the owner really went outside of his way to find my phone number (not published and very hard to find), somehow he got my phone#, called me to let me know that they found the wallet and it is safe until we can pick it up, I just picked it up, all cards and the cash there. I have to say places and people like the owners of First Sandwich Shop don’t exist, or very rare. Thank you
