Went in right as it got dark so I got a short glimpse of the beautiful view out the window. Ordered the Seafood platter (scallops, jumbo shrimp and haddock) and accompanied it with a draft Johnny Blood Red Ale… delicious. It came with butter over a candle so it was warm and melted during the entire meal which I thought was a wonderfully small benefit that went a long way. The seafood was fresh and tasty; the seasoning could have been of a better variety but it worked.

Heard so many good things about this place. The view of the water was peaceful, restaurant was clean, Old Fashioned was great, and the waitress was friendly. I had the fisherman’s plate. My perch tasted fishy, frog legs lacked flavor but were tender. Scallops were very good and stuffed shrimp was fine. My husband’s lamb chops were as much bone as meat and were gristly but the flavor was quite good. The Baked French Onion soup was disappointing. The processed cheese on the top was melted but not browned at all. I scraped the cheese off as it ruined the soup fixed the way it was. Overall disappointing meal. Sorry to say, I won’t be hurrying back.

We have eaten here a couple of times. The food is pretty good. I am always full and often have a take home container. Staff was friendly and attentive. But what impressed me the most was the women’s bathroom. It has to be one of the cleanest, most up to date public bathrooms I have seen in the Northwoods. I mean checkout any other bar, supper club, gas station anywhere and you will know what I mean. I hope that they will put in that extra effort to keep it looking this clean.

We went for the Prime Rib dinner. Soup was the best part of it. The meat we ask for medium rare we got medium well and the ours we ask for medium well was rare. The cut sizes were way off from the size portions we asked for. They Kings were more like Queen size and the Queen was like the smallest size they offered. I wouldn’t go here again for the prime rib dinner again. The service was great but the food was not worth the price.

Went for dinner. Had reservations in advance. 5 ppl in our party. Waitress was amazing, got all our drink orders out quickly. I ordered the ribeye and it was cooked exactly to my liking. I think our total bill for 5 with bar tab was $200. Very reasonable prices. I enjoyed it and would definitely recommend the place.

Nothing special about this place. The owner is well intentioned and may think he has cooking abilities. The lasagna, chicken, and meatballs that I tasted were rather bland . Options are limited in Rhinelander, so this, in some ways, is one of the best of what is available, which is not saying much.

Great food. Celebrating our 52nd anniversary with my sister Sue and her hubby Rick. Service was excellent. Very very busy tonight, a Saturday. But the staff handled it with a smile and quick attention to all details.

A bit disappointed. The French onion soup had a processed creamy cheese on it. Not what you would expect. The twice baked potatoes were a bit dry. Walleye (broiled) was good. Just not what I expected based on the reviews.

Food was excellent. Friendly staff. Prime rib, baked potatoe, onion soup, salad horrs devours, carrot cake, and enjoyable time full of laughter and good conversation with my sister Sue and her hubby Rick. It was a bit noisy but everyone was having a good time there. Left with lots of take home for the next day. Nice view of the river where we sat watching geese and boats float by. Very busy place on a Saturday evening but the wait staff handled it well.

They give you salad, soup, and rolls before your food comes. We also got the duck appetizer. Dinner was delicious, as are the old fashioneds! Staff is very friendly as well. Thank you
