Beauty For Ashes
I’m currently wheelchair bound so my husband went into the store along with my son to purchase food for us. I asked for the Spicy Chicken Sub with no onions, lettuce, or mustard. Once we made it home, I noticed the sub was loaded with lettuce after I asked that it not be on it. I was willing to just pick the lettuce off and eat it anyway but while I was chewing I noticed there was no spicy/Cajun mayo on it either. At this point I’m like, let me just try to enjoy it with the pickle. The spicy mayo is what makes the sub a spicy chicken sub. To my surprise, neither one of us had a pickle on the side. We had just visited firehouse the day before and it was so good to where I asked if we could eat there again but this time, they failed. I called and asked for a manager in a very polite tone. The lady on the phone said sarcastically,” Oh, she wants a manager.” The manager asked the details of our order and told us to bring it back and she’d remake it. I told her we had finally made it home and coming back out tonight was an inconvenience for us. My husband had just gotten off from work and We don’t live close by. So, she said to bring it in whenever she is there and they’ll remake it. She also made it seem as if the mistake was so minor by saying very flatly ,” So the only thing wrong was there was lettuce and no spicy mayo and no pickles for each sub.” We spent gas and money with them twice in a row and all

The sandwiches here are great. They use better bread than Subway and the sandwiches have lots of meat. The only drawback I’ve found is in trying to order ahead, online. Sometimes, the order doesn’t go through at all and often, if it does go through, special requests for ingredients don’t get filled. They also have a strange type of drinks machine that doesn’t show the types of drinks available upon casual perusal. I would guess that somehow, a drinks menu isn’t available unless you’ve ordered a drink? I’m not sure.

Got the turkey bacon ranch. Nicely chipped turkey, bacon wasn’t too hard, and the veggies were all a really good combination. Order took about 7 to 10 minutes maybe. There were several other customers and online orders they were working on, so I think they did very well getting the food to us in a timely manner.

The food was tasty but I asked for no onions and it was even on my receipt. Otherwise the food was good and I was in and out quickly as I was the only ordering customer in there at the moment. Would have been 5 stars if she just skipped the onion.

First 3 tables we sat at rocked so bad it would have spilled a drink. Exceptionally long wait. When food came out it was wrong. Attitude given upon request for the meals to be fixed. 7 other patrons were served before receiving our “corrected” order……. which was wrong again. Attitude given again after requesting a refund. Would not give a full refund because chip bag was opened. Told to vomit up the 4 chips that had been eaten if I wanted a refund for them. When told I won’t be coming back I was told “good”. This is completely out of line for any restaurant.

The subs were great! The sweet tea was not sweet and only enough for half a cup. It was 4-5pm and they had no more tea. No BBQ or plain chips that weren’t baked.. you could tell the guys had been and were swamped and wore out.

This was mine and my daughter’s first time there. The gentlemen at the register was very nice. Other than that our sandwiches were completely wrong. It took a very long time to get the sanwiches as well.We watched a man get turned away at the door saying they were closed. Moments later a young man came to the door and the young girl let him in to place a order. Guess you have to be young and cute to not be turned down at 9:00 even when the sign on the door says you close at 9:30. I don’t believe we will be return visitors.

After a few bad run ins with the Florence S.c store. I have to give it to the Richmond Hill store for making sure I came back. The staff is friendly and always smiling. They are always timely even during their rush. Good crew and good location!

I walked in and the staff was visibly angry. There were about 4 people up front. 3 ran into the back room and the one who remained failed to acknowledge my family and I for nearly 2 minutes. It was the most awkward experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant… EVER.

1 star is too many. This place is trash. Employees are rude and make threats. And are unkept… i have never in my life been to a firehouse subs where this was what i witnessed. Disgusting. Told us to throw up our food and to never come back. (Because we ate 4 chips while waiting the almost hour for our food, when we said we wanted our money back… they refused to give us a refund for sandwiches we never took, because we ate 4 chips.) Made our food wrong 4x. I even contacted corporate, nothing. Firehouse in richmond hill is a joke. Literally the work set of staff i have ever encountered. Firehouse should be ashamed to have this type of nonsense attached to their name.
