Firehouse Subs is right on par with Jersey Mike’s and Jimmy John’s subs/submarines, heroes or hoagies (same thing described differently depending on what part of the country you’re from: all are historically derived from WWII military references: submarines, heroes and Philadephia hog island hoagies were consumed by soldiers).

I have been eating lunch here once a week for about 6 months now. The staff is fantastic and the food delicious but there is definitely a need for more employees behind the counter. I would say 75% of my lunch visits could use another 2 employees to shorten the waits! This place is definitely making $, clean, and stocked. The number of staff can’t keep up with the volume of business.

As a first timer, the food was good. Menu had a lot but I choose one on the board rather than custom made (should had done custom). Staff was friendly and got a free drink for doing survey. Overall, a good experience here.

My dental office is right across the street, so I decided to give them a try. I had the warm jerk turkey sandwich and chicken & dumpling soup. While the sandwich was very delicious I didn’t taste any jerk seasoning or sauce-ugh disappointed. The soup was good as well. The service was super slow, I mean really slow.

At lunch time, it was a little chaotic in the store, but the staff was both pleasant and efficient (quick). The Italian sandwich was excellent (as always). The drink machine ran out of Dr. Pepper, but the team quickly restocked the machine so that I was able to fill my cup by the time my sandwich was ready. Also, appreciate the ability to donate to the charity.

I ordered 2 sandwiches. 1 being a Hook -n- Lader and an Italian sandwich(with no onions and no mayo). At the time I ordered I was the only customer in the store. The 3 employees were just talking with each other. No big deal right… Until those 2 sandwiches took over 20 minutes to make. Remember I was the only customer in the store when I ordered. Finally got my food and left. Got home and BOTH sandwiches were wrong. Yeah I probably should have checked before I left but seeing how I was the only one in the store I thought “how could they get it wrong”…
