I generally love Firehouse subs but the one here in Janesville leaves something to be desired. I always order my sandwich without the side pickle and the ALWAYS put the pickle in there. Except the time before this when I called and told them I ordered without the pickle. The lady I talked to laughed at me for calling and said yeah, it says no pickle on the order. Tonight, I ordered no pickle and of course it was there. I called them and the manager hung up on me. My husband called back and was told by the manager it was the fault of DoorDash that there was a pickle and hung up on him twice. There is NO customer service left apparently and I will not order from the Janesville Firehouse subs again, Either on DoorDash or in person!! It makes me sad but it is what it is. Good bye firehouse subs!

Was there the other week, staff were very nice, had a delay in our order and they were very apologetic, offered us free desert. Checked in multiple times to ensure our meal was as expected. In general I feel that firehouse has great food quality.

Ordered the grilled chicken breast sandwich. They literally just gave me chicken breast on a bun none of the other stuff that was supposed to go on it. Was the worst dryest sub I’ve ever had. Normally I love their subs I order from here all the time but I won’t be ordering from here anymore.

Excellent service and great food. The dining room is laid out with plenty of open space between chairs. There were no booths and all the tables were freestanding. The restroom was straight back from the entrance and reasonably clean. The order process is straightforward. You select from a menu of preconfigured options plus optional ingredients. Process is all together simpler and easier than for example, Subway. This last visit I was lucky enough to be served by the general manager at the register, himself. Was remarkably friendly and helpful. I thought this was unique that the restaurant had high chairs. Don’t recall seeing them at other similar establishments. The cashier/ GM quickly offered my son a fire hat and later a Rice Krispies treat.

First time to be there since our move from VA, happy to have it near me again. Worth the 35 mile drive for sure from IL. It will be my pit stop before I go thrifting! The service was so caring and excellent. I am on keto and they made if for me special with no bun! The price was very cost affective for all that meat I had ordered! I love their pickles because they have a great flavor to them! Was able to meet my best friend and catch up it was her first time! She loved it too!
