I eat at firehouse 3 or 4 times a week, between this location and the one on westnedge and I have to say the service has gone downhill lately. I was ignored for 10 minutes waiting to place an order yesterday and waited 20 minutes today after I ordered to get my sandwich, the lobby was nearly empty and employees didn’t seem to be worried about my sandwich. I’ll give it one more try because the food here is great, hopefully the staff learns some customer courtesy by then.

I ordered a head on the app. It said my order will be ready around 12:15. Got there around 12:10. I got to listen to the staff complain about how busy they were for 20 minutes while I waited for my food. They also made a point of arguing with a lady that she requested no pickle spear when that was not true. These are all very minor things but they’re also things that prevent people from coming back. I like the food. The service was awful.

Talked to the rudest person on the phone, what happened to the good ol days when you could take your time and ask questions and have friendly convos with people. If their name was not firehouse subs, they would not be open. They are lucky they are backed by a national brand name to carry the weight of the poor service, terrible and overpriced food and one person who I spoke with on the phone that ruined my jolly sprit of the day.

I was picking up a doordash and saw the gallon jug sign. When I asked to buy one while I was waiting for my order and was sigh d at and he rolled his eyes too. Seemed like he could have been the manager and this is no way to treat a paying customer bc I could have grabbed my dashed and left without buying anything for myself and he made me want to not wait and just cancel my dash.

⚠️AVOID THIS LOCATION⚠️ As a former owner of multiple restaurants, never in my life, would I continue to employ a Manager that is so rude & condescending to the customers. He was nasty to every single customer the moment they walked in the door. That guy belongs in the back room slicing meats, not interacting with customers as the face of your Company. I am leaving this review in hopes that something will be done. Today is Sunday, February 26, 2023. The time was 1:15pm. Check the schedule & FIRE that Manager. I won’t be back until you do.

The gentleman that assisted my mom and I was very polite and professional in taking our order. As we sat down though I noticed that most of the table tops had not been wiped up after the last customer that had used them. There was only one other couple in the place. As we are currently waiting for our meal while I’m typing this the other customer got up and took his food to the counter to have an issue fixed. I’m not sure what the problem was. It’s taking a little longer for our subs to made then I feel like it should. And considering there’s no one else hear. I started this out with a four star just because the gentleman that took our order was so pleasant but the longer I sit here I decided to take a star away. I believe it was the manager that came out to deal with the other customers problem and I stead of going over to the customer to deal with the issue professionally he stood at the counter and loudly talked with the customer to come to a conclusion I don’t sense the other customer was very happy about his experience. I’ve been sitting here now with my mom for roughly fifteen mi utes waiting for two medium subs. The food just got here as I typed that. It looks good and I’m hope it tastes as good as it looks. My sub was pretty good I don’t think it was 15 minutes worth of waiting good my mom was not impressed with her said she would have rather went to McDonald’s for the money that she spent
