Stopped in for lunch before hitting the Ennis Bluebonnet Trails. Had the roast beef panini with sweet potato fries which was delicious. They also have a unique cinnamon dipping sauce for the fries. Service was excellent, although the only issue I would point out is that certain items on the menu are not available all the time. I guess this is due to not having a large enough kitchen to serve the full menu all day long.

Really cool place with a very friendly and efficient staff. Food was good, especially the fried pickles, but not stellar. The flat iron steak I ordered medium came out a solid medium well. Good flavors and very fresh, just not five star execution.

The employees were nice, but the service seemed a little more slow than the food was worth. My fiancee got the catfish plate and I got the large shrimp cocktail. They didn’t taste awful, but they didn’t seem to be worth the money spent on them. He got a little bit of okra and a scoop of mashed potatoes as a side for like 3 pieces of fried catfish and my shrimp cocktail was shrimp on a cocktail cup with ice and sauce on the side. Every shrimp cocktail I’ve ever seen had the sauce in the cup. I’m not sure how much his fish was, but the shrimp wasn’t worth $12. It just didn’t seem like much effort was put into our food.

Second visit and the dishes we tried were awesome! Chicken and artichoke was scrumptious and the jalapeno poppers were perfect.

We stopped in Saturday, Jan 5th, 2019. We met with a very special person. I do not want to share the reasons but his story is simply an incredible life journey through survival. Everyone’s food was fine except mine and it should have never made it to our table. I ordered the Burger/Fries…. I could see the top bun was burnt with a 2.5″ circle on top and my wife noticed it. Upon holding the burger to my mouth I could smell the Burntness, Then noticed that the entire bottom bun was extremely burnt. I tore off what I could and did not want to ruin our visit with our special friend. I did tell the waitress, and she should have taken the plate without hesitation after seeing it. I ate what I could and then when getting close to finishing, 2 staff went to the frt of the building to smoke and a huge plume of cigarette smoke floated in the door. When we received the bill I was surprised to see the burger on the bill. I paid and then after opening a gift we left and one of the cooks was out smoking and we had to walk thru this to our car. She threw the still burning cigarette onto the road. On the drive home, the burnt smell remained on my fingers. Thought I should bring this to your attention and may I suggest staff may consider watching some restaurant resurrection TV shows. Or Gas Monkeys “Garage Rehab” show because of all the same principles apply. Your Business has all the right winning qualities if the staff can pull it together. Do not be fooled by the multiple good reviews.

We chose to eat dinner at this restaurant because we like to give our business to locally owned places. The food was pretty good overall. Sweet potatoes fries were great! Unfortunately, our service was not great. We stood at door for a WHILE waiting to be seated. We ordered our food & then I’m pretty sure we were just forgotten about until we asked about our order (about 45 min). We saw two tables seated, order & get their food before us. Our food would have been much better if it had been fresh hot instead of sitting under a heat lamp.

Awesome grilled shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes, onion rings are totally homemade, great chicken fried steak and the gravy is great too! Very nice and attentive wait staff as well. The only reason they’re getting one less star than 5 is because the green bean casserole was cold. I definitely will be going back!!

This is a great place to grab lunch or dinner. The steak salad is amazing! I’ve called in lunch orders several times for my staff and we’ve always been pleased. Jimmy does a great job in the kitchen. I’m hoping they’ll open for breakfast!

We stumbled into Firehouse Grill just before a major downpour and tornado warning. Not only was the food beyond wonderful, but the people were warm and friendly. We took our time enjoying the flat iron sirloin (properly cooked, thank you!) and a fantastic chicken fried steak as well as pecan cobbler and a brownie explosion. With a large range of menu options and a welcoming environment, we already plan to come back and sample more of the menu.

My boyfriend & I decided to give this a try when passing through from Dallas. We’re so glad we did! It was all delicious. I had the fried chicken strips with gravy, mashed potatoes, & green bean casserole. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak sandwich with fried okra. We even ordered bread pudding for dessert! Food was so good, prices were really good, staff was nice! Plus, the restaurant is in memory of fallen firefighters & police officers. If we are ever near the area again, we will definitely be eating here again!
