We thoroughly enjoyed a late weekday lunch eating outside on their deck under a shady umbrella. Our food was very tasty and we enjoyed a beer on tap. The butterscotch pudding was outstanding! It was actually the texture of flan more than pudding which I loved. The service was friendly and efficient. The items on the menu are chef inspired, I just wish there were more options on the menu! Will definitely be back.

Went here on a whim while passing thru, and the food was delicious! My hubs is a bbq connoisseur and extremely picky about his pulled pork, collard greens & brisket. We tried the hot chicken sandwich and brisket sandwich. the brisket was perfectly done and they give you 3 thick large pieces on a lightly grilled roll. The hot chicken sandwich had tender chicken breast with a big hot kick the more you chewed. the collard greens were the best iv had besides my mother inlaws in GA. slightly sweet which i love. The potato salad was probably my only item i did not enjoy, a bit too creamy for my liking. The BBQ sauces were AMAZING wish i could buy to go! Drinks were creative and made well. we noticed many things were made in house like the sauces, pickles, drink mix etc. Definitely will return.

Great outside dinning. The food was delicious. We had the brisket and Nashville chicken . The brisket was done to perfection. Great bark flavor was spot on. The Nashville chicken was very ️. I like spicy but my boyfriend was dying. The fries were awesome! The service was just ok.

Second time trying this restaurant. I am in love. Think mission BBQ but way better. The pulled pork is my favorite! Multiple styles of BBQ sauces to try. Staff is friendly and environment is cozy. They have an outside seating area for those nice weather days. Don’t skip over this local restaurant, it’s Fire

Not much atmosphere to the place but its very clean and new looking. The food and service are great. I had the BBQ platter with beef brisket, 1/4 chicken, collard greens, and pinto beans. The brisket was outsranding…moist and perfect; the chicken was very good; the sides were excellent, as was my sweet tea. The homemade pickles and the BBQ sauces are AWESOME. Really legit, highly recommended.

It’s a miracle, I’ve found acceptable brisket. For those that know what good brisket is supposed to taste like (and very few do), and are in search of it in the DMV region, its hard to find, if not impossible. But today I managed to find it here at Firebox55. Is it Franklins/Goldees/Blacks level? No, not really, but…. it’s still good. I asked and they use rotating natural gas smokers with wood added/side loaded, so it isn’t a natural wood/offset like you see at the aforementioned Texas staples. It is cooked and rendered perfectly, the smoke and bark are a little on the lighter side. With that in mind they still make a good brisket. If you need that fix, you are safe coming here.

If your near this place and haven’t tried the food here what are you waiting for. Everything is made with care and to perfection. Have not had a bad meal in the 5-10 times ive eaten here. Good selection….great specials….A bar tender who takes great pride in what he does….Friendly staff… stop delaying and just get there

My buddies and I were going to an event in Martinsburg and wanted to get some food and beer beforehand and decided on BBQ. Having been to Mountaineer Meat Smokers before and being underwhelmed, we wanted to try someplace else. The menu and reviews looked good for Firebox 55, and then we saw the happy hour specials, and that sealed the deal. We were able to find a deal even though it was a little busy. Our waitress was busy as well, but she stayed on top of things, so we never had an empty drink. I ordered the brisket, greens, and slaw. The brisket was moist, greens had a good flavor, and I also liked the slaw. I almost forgot about the pickles, but they are good as well. I definitely recommend checking this place out.
