I’m a customer of Kearny’s fire pit. for knowing the great service and excellent food. I stopped with my wife at this restaurant. We walked in and sat down and waited 10 minutes for someone to come and serve us. it was very hot inside the restaurant and full of flies. I love Kearny’s restaurant very good food and service too. but this one left something to be desired. something else on the menu doesn’t have the prices

My family and I love sharing their grilled combo platters. We recently ordered the grilled chicken with grilled short rib. The chicken had a nice hot b of b the grill flavor and the short rib had the perfect medium rare temp. We ordered mixed veggies, Spanish rice and French fries on the side it was filling and left us happy for dinner

I ordered food yesterday, from this restaurant, half chicken, black beans and deep fried potatoes when I got home I opened a paper bag and saw that there was rice, I did not order rice, I do not like rice and I did not order it, I called the restaurant and explained, they gave me rice but I asked for potatoes, they ignored me, I refuse to buy anything in this place, they give the food that the customer does not order, I threw the rice into the trash and was left hungry, I just don’t eat it and it turns out I threw it away everything in the trash is a very good restaurant, I advise everyone to come and leave with food that they did not ask to put in a bag.

I had the chicken sandwich with French fries and it was amazingly good. The bread was nice and toasty, the chicken was grilled just perfect, the cheese was thin not too cheesy. The sandwich was made with great standards and it was delicious that I ate both halves.

Yesterday I went with my dad, we wanted to eat in the place, so we sat down, and waited for the waiter to serve us, about 10 minutes passed, and they never brought us the menu, there were only two people buying at the cashier. We found the service very bad, so we stand up and left, there is another Firepit headquarters in North Arlington, there the attention is very good, you just arrived, the waiter hands you the menu, and for starters they serve delicious bread, and olives.

We ordered grilled chicken, fries and rice. The grilled chicken was amazing, I tried one of their Portuguese drinks and it really tasted good. The place is clean but so small and it’s very hard to find parking, so we had to park in front of one of the residential houses in Hackensack.

The price for the portions are ridiculous. The 22 oz steak was cooked to perfection, I asked for medium rare and medium rare I received. I was surprised as the steak was very thick but it managed to be well cooked. The food great all around and the smoke flavors are definitely present as it’s cooked over wood charcoal. The side of rice and beans were big enough for well over two people.

The food was good today, but the guy that took the order was told twice to send sauce(meaning the barbacue sauce, and the hot sauce), we ordered the combo, you only sent the hot sauce, we spent $41.22 plus $10 tip, you guys even charge $5 for delivery, are you kidding me, the least you can do, is to make sure you send everything people ask for, before orders are sent out for delivery make sure everything is in the order, we are not asking for free food, we are paying for it, and even if people didn’t ask for the sauce, it should be included with combos, what difference does it make, don’t be so cheap¡¡

I had my mouth set for falling off the bone tender bbq. I ordered the combo chicken & baby back ribs with rice and salad and was a bit disappointed. The ribs were grilled, tough and chewy. Not slow cooked tender bbq’d like I expected. The chicken, however, was good as was the salad. Rice just so, so. Service was friendly and okay. Not a fancy place. Seating for 7 tables. Big takeaway business. Parking for only 6 or so cars.
