I’ve been traveling around the state hitting bbq spots with my brother and frankly most of them are not good including the so called championship team spots. While fire it up isnt Austin bbq they are definitely the best we’ve had so far.

Brisket sandwich was super, good sauces, and the staff was friendly. I had the baked beans and they were really nice! Three types of beans and red/green peppers gave it a real unique flavor that wasn’t overpowering. Coleslaw seemed to be perhaps not homemade and somewhat standard. Overall a great experience and we would definitely stop again given the opportunity.

This place is super convenient for drivers, they super fast, affordable and well seasoned, you just need to cross the street and that it. I got half a pound of pork and it was blowing my mind, it was yummy.

Stopped for lunch at Fire Up BBQ – it was rated high on Yelp and I-Exit. Thought huh? Let’s give it a try… drive up to a quaint smaller place with a full parking lot at 1:30pm on a Thursday afternoon in February! We were warmly greeted and attended to while we took in the menu. We were assured the bbq would be good regardless of our meat choice and they did not lie! I had the chicken and my partner had the beef. My mouth waters even writing this review ! No salt or sauce needed ! Chicken was very tender and melts in your mouth-beef was tender and not full of grizzle. The sides seems pretty standard.

Most excellent!! I love some really good bbq. It’s hard to find sometimes, especially good bbq. This place has been here a hot min and I never tried it. Well I sure am glad I did today. Got the pulled pork sandwich with fries and sweet bbq sauce. Most excellent and the bun it was on was tasty too. Thank y’all so much!! If your in the mood for good bbq y’all, it’s definitely worth stopping by and chowing down on. The service was excellent too and very friendly!!

We picked up food to go. The BBQ was wonderful, Okra good. We got a 1LB of pork, but they gave you no BBQ Sauce, it had to be bought separately????? I could understand if we wanted a whole bottle, most places will just give you a plastic container of sauce. We were really just wanting a few small sauce cups with a couple of their sauce flavors to try as we had never been before.

Disappointed – have eaten here for years. It finally changed ownership. Today I stopped for a pork sandwich. First, they up charged me a couple of bucks for the lunch special because it was Saturday. OK, not a problem till it came out. Dried bun, small portion, and mediocre bbq for the low low price of $15. Not sure I’ll be back. They should take a few lessons from the old owners.
