I finally got into this restaurant after many years living around the corner and shopping in this very plaza. What an amazing experience! We were celebrating my fiancé’s birthday who is a professional chef and everything was perfection! We started with the tuna appetizer, which was both fun to eat with chopsticks and delicious. He had the duck breast and sweet bread tv dinner, while I chose the flounder special with risotto. Both were equally delicious. Dessert was the Mexican Vanilla and Cherry Semifredo which was completely amazing and over the top. We had an interesting red blend from Harry and Harriet (?) from SLO, CA. Our server, Tyler, was super knowledgeable with wine and knew their extensive specials by heart, answering all my questions very patiently. The restaurant was busy and small so be sure you make reservations ahead of time. What a lovely treat in Vero Beach! We will be back again soon. Well done Fire and Wine!

Can I give them 10 stars?!?! Roger and Tyler took such good care of us, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu or the specials. It is a foodie heaven with the sea bass and farro risotto with a reduction and asparagus that had a touch of charcoal flavor. The pork dish was cooked perfectly with a simple flavorful spinach and blueberry reduction glaze. Try the carrot hummus and boratta as appetizers, but also save room for the bread pudding and bittersweet chocolate pie. Absolutely wonderful service and Tyler food the best care of us along with Roger. Thank you for a fabulous dinner!

Terrible and over priced. I told the waiter I was vegetarian and asked what they could make since there were no vegetarian dishes on the menu. He went and spoke with the “chef” who said he would make me something with the sides and veggies they had for the day. I said that sounded great. What I was given was a plate of charred yet raw vegetables, some kind of veggie hash which was bland, beets that were over cooked, stewed tomatoes and the worst was everything was swimming on a plate of balsamic and pesto vinaigrette. It was drenched and soggy. Even if you had served raw vegetables it would have been better. When they asked how it was I was honest and said underwhelming. The guy then said that people “who know them” call a day in advance to request vegetarian dishes. That is ridiculous to me, a “chef” should be able to prepare something creative and delicious regardless if they’re given a “heads up”. My partner had a completely boring seafood pasta, he said it was bland and uninteresting. I gave them one star for the pear parsnip soup which was fine. The entire meal cost $91 with tip. Way too expensive. I have no issue paying for a great meal but this was just bad over priced food. Another bad mark is that we sat in the back by the door that leads outside and all night staff was going out to smoke and wafts of cigarette smoke kept coming in. Very unappetizing. Won’t be back.

Don’t know why it took me so long to get back to Fire & Wine but so glad I finally did. What an exceptional evening. A simple start with a very tasty biscuit (Who’d have thought?) followed by beef wonton appetizer which was excellent but surpassed by the tuna and wasabi coleslaw. Main courses of melt in the mouth filet-mignon accompanied by fries in a basket with a Gruyere cheese dipping bowl – what a combination! Desserts were excellent too – carrot cake bread pudding and a Devil’s Food Cake with a twist – a baked accent piece with fragments of cracked pepper! Whoever came up with that (you know who you are) is brilliant. The pepper at once contrasted and complimented the sweetness of the Devil’s Food Cake and salt-caramel topping. Matched by exemplary service the evening was an absolute delight. Thank you, Roger, Tyler and the rest of the staff. See you again soon.

We had a wonderful early dinner here the other night. It’s located in a small Winn Dixie strip mall, but don’t let that fool you! Reservations are a must and everything in the menu is top quality- with excellent service. The only warning is, it can be warm in there, and a little on the noisy side. But so worth it for the food. Don’t miss the soups!

What a fabulous find on our trip to Vero Beach! The food was inventive and delicious. Our seats were near the open kitchen and watching the chef and his two sous chefs was like watching a well choreographed dance. Roger, the owner is awesome and makes you feel like an old friend. Our server, Tyler, was very attentive even with a full house we felt like we were the only table he had for the night. Mike made sure we were well hydrated and attended to anything we needed. Don’t be fooled by the location in the strip mall and the word Diner above the door. Major culinary dishes are behind that door that should not be missed.

Outstanding experience! Staff was warm and welcoming and the food was on par with some of the top rated restaurants we’ve had the pleasure of dining at around the country. The Tuna sashimi with Wasabi coleslaw and pan fried scallops in a mouth watering broth were our starters and paired well with glasses of Silver Peak Pinot (fantastic choice if you like Pinot Noir) After looking at the generous portion sizes at other tables, we split the Barramundi fish special which was topped with a savory mango chili sauce served on a bed of sauted rice, calamari and fire roasted Asparagus……..amazing! Last but not least if you like pecan pie they put a spin on it substituting pistachios in a tart served with a flavorful vanilla ice cream. Don’t let the unassuming exterior deter you from an experience that will have you thanking the kitchen staff for their efforts.

A lovely surprise at the end of the day. It small and quaint with a boutique feel. The moment you walk in the door the owner is there to greet you. I noticed how it remembered names and birthdays ☺️ I was pleasantly surprise by the exquisite menu. This is a menu you would see in high end fine dining restaurant and it was executed in the same fashion. I am beyond impressed with the family atmosphere and the thoughtful plates set before me. The sweet corn soup was a perfect blend of flavors and texture. The ahi tune was fresh and accompanied with a spicy mustard slaw and the final piece was their short ribs cooked to perfection with whipped potatoes and reduced collard greens… right when I thought I could take another bite… I did, into a perfect creme brûlée. Thank you for a wonderful evening ❤️
