Was in town for a week. Went once on a weeknight a bit later, and staff was able to accommodate us. Even though we were there a bit later staff never made us feel like an inconvenience. Son had steak tips and raved about them, I had a massive portion of fresh hot fish and chips. It was so good we had to go back a couple of nights later with my wife and other son. They loved it to sitting on the back porch, and I got some huge and well prepared scallops.

Came here on a whim and Finnegan’s far exceeded any expectations we had! It was a fun place to watch the game and the food was great and very filling. We had the poutine, Reuben Sandwich and Guinness stew and each dish hit the spot. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, the decor was entertaining and there’s a decent selection of beer on tap.

Our first time here and a tasty experience. My Shepard’s Pie was an A+ as it was flavorful and huge portion. Wife enjoyed her walnut cranberry salad. Will be back to try numerous menu items. You need to visit and see for yourself.

Finnegans is like old reliable. They probably won’t win a culinary award. But it’s always very good and the staff are all funny. I like funny: life is hard, the world is a mess at least you can go and get dinner and get a little chuckle.

It was lunch time, only a few tables of patrons. The clam chowder was good, but the fish tasted like burnt oil! Guinness stew was good. Whween asked “what’s good” the waitress wasn’t entirely forthcoming with a helpful answer. Maybe there’s an “unspoken rule” inn restaurants, that waitresses shouldn’t actually give a recommendation? IMO the waitress is the sales person and should be able to sell you the food to make money for the restaurant!
