A coworker told me about this spot, and we finally found time to check it out. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was pretty good. We ordered a bunch of things…shrimp tacos, birria tacos, birria quesadilla, and California burrito. So far, we’ve tried everything but the burrito because my son is taking it to work.

We went to 6 different taco places on the island and this is HANDS DOWN the best taco spot on Kauai. They offer combo plates and a la carte items – my favorite was the shrimp tacos, shrimp burrito and they have a green salsa that is amazing. Highly recommend getting the watermelon agua Fresca.

HOLY HALEAKALA! So goooood. Best Mexican tacos with consume’ dipping broth. I’m from California loaded with Mexican restaurants. Fillo’s is the best I have ever had.

Was on the way from the drive from the North and saw this little truck in the parking lot. I ordered a fish taco as well as a shrimp one . There was definitely a wait but the they give you this buzzer that will ring when your food is ready so I just waited in the car. Food was delicious, especially the shrimp tacos. The portion size was quite small though so do order more if you’re hungry. Oh and the spicy salsa they served by the side was to die for.

Oh man this is 10/10 Mexican food. Didn’t think I would get this on a remote island. Come here, don’t second guess. They had strawberry horchata when we went – so delicious. Birria was proper and garlic shrimp tacos equally proper. Mahalo fillo’s

This is not a food truck like google says. I had the al pastor tacos plate W/O a drink and it ran me about $17, You get two tacos, rice and beans. The flavor was okay but it didn’t fill me up. For that price I’d just expect more, maybe even a shareable amount of food. Service was nice

Great local Mexican place! We love everything from the tacos to the burritos, and the birria fries. Don’t skip on the horchata if it’s on special!

My husband and I stopped here after a flight before heading to our condo. We were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the food. They were very busy later in the evening when we arrived, which we knew meant it would be good. We did have a little bit of a wait for our food (because they make everything fresh + they were busy), but they were upfront with us about that before we even ordered. We didn’t mind waiting at all. We said without a doubt these were the best tacos we’ve ever had in our life, and we eat a lot of tacos. I got the queso birria plate & my husband got the carnitas nachos and then we also got a pork belly taco on the side. I’ve been dreaming of these tacos ever since I had the first bite. The owner came out from the kitchen and spent some time talking to us, he was so incredibly kind. I wish I could pick up this restaurant and take it home with us. Everyone should visit this place at least once while in Kauai.
