The meatloaf was dry, the fish tasted dirty, I have to say it was pretty busy today and I think the only reason it may have ended up like that is it being that busy, but the server was very in tune with her customers. I’ll say that my first time here was actually decent.

Been going there for years. When you walk in you will see a nice clean establishment. Slow day so I was directed to seat myself anywhere I felt comfortable. Service was prompt,and friendly. I opted to go to the buffet. A cold bar, a hot bar,and a dessert bar,all had fresh and delicious food. If I chose,they offered to add fresh cooked fish,for a small fee. All in all a very good experience. I will return again.

The fish was very good. Service was great. Very well prepared and attention to detail was excellent. All desserts were made from scratch. Can’t say anything bad.

My sister came in from Colorado to visit me, and I told her I wanted to take her to Fiddler’s in Dexter for the delicious fish and buffet. We drove over and were the first ones in. I noticed there was no fish on the buffet, but I had searched their website and saw we had to buy the fish, if we had the buffet. It was not included. I bought two orders of the catfish. When the server placed the orders on our table, I immediately noticed this did NOT look like the catfish I had eaten there before (it had been eight years!) I’ve eaten at Fiddler’s approximately 10-11 times over the years, and it had never changed. I took a piece of the “weird looking” colored fish and broke a piece off. It was black inside. I took a bite and tasted MUD. I asked the waitress about it, and she said it was the same fish they had been serving. Well, it wasn’t. I told her I couldn’t eat mud and to please take it back. The food on the buffet wasn’t that good either, including the terrible desserts. I will never return. A business owner in Dexter told me they were changing owners.

The worst food ever. We are from the south and was told the steaks were awesome here. It was undoubtedly the worst meal ever. We ordered t-bone steaks with baked potatoes and salad which came with the meal which was $13.99 for each meal, and ordered iced tea. When we got the steaks they were not even 1/8 th of an inch thick , nothing but gristle and one of the steaks were suppose to be medium rare HA they were both exactly the same. One steak 5 small bites were edible and the other one was totally inedible. We paid over $34.00 plus a $5.00 tip for inedible steak , a baked potato that tasted like it was a day old, salad (very tasty since we made it ourselves and 1 piece of Texas toast. The service was okay and pleasant. We are sure there was a manager sitting there when asked if everything was okay we specifically told them no. She never offered refund nor did the 3 staff members , including our waitress offer to get a manager. Even worse one offered that the rib eye might have been better. We paid and left telling the wait staff it wasn’t their fault and tipping our server. We will never frequent this establishment again, and will advise anyone who ask our advise where to get a good meal we will steer them to McDonalds.

Great service and the 12 oz ribeye was awesome. Didnt have a wait on friday evening around 6 . Alot of people eating the all you can eat fish buffet but we didnt have it but the BlackBerry cobbler was good too

Great family owned restaurant! Best steaks around! You can get your belly full with a homecooked style buffet that comes with a delicious salad bar and dessert bar too!

Unless you’re a native here in Dexter, keep on driving. Fries fried in the same grease as the fish, a menu that’s overwhelmingly fried, and a very dated look has this place less than desireable.
