First time I’d been to Festiva and absolutely fell in love with its atmosphere and food! Their seasonal margarita was watermelon serrano and with a mezcal floater was absolutely phenomenal Was with friends and had an opportunity to try a variety of menu items, favorites being the elotes (also seasonal but covered in…Takis!) and baja fish tacos. If the weather is nice like when I was there, I would absolutely recommend sitting on their covered patio, though service seemed to be a bit slower for the outside tables. Either way would highly recommend this place that deservingly is ranked as one of Indy’s top restaurants!

Nothing like we expected. We are first-time visitors to Indianapolis here for business and several local friends suggested Festiva. It was way better and more fun than expected. It is like a funky hole-in-the-wall serving creative Mexican fare. We actually own a restaurant in Mexico and we surely loved this visit, the food and the folks!

Excellent upscale Mexican restaurant. The costillas used to be my favorite, but I think they changed the recipe and it’s a bit too sweet for my taste now (used to be a spicy dry rub). Recently discovered they do brunch too and got the Mexican eggs Benedict (pictured) which was great. Cute little restaurant and serving staff is always attentive

Amazing food – we had maragritas, chips and queso, al pastor tacos and fish tacos. Everything was excellent and the service was great – our only regret is that we’ve lived on the Eastside for several years and this was our first visit. We will be back!

After such a long time I finally stopped by to eat. I had really high expectations and I don’t think it met them.

We had an excellent experience at Festiva. We walked in, but decided to leave after realizing the restaurant was very busy (and we had an immunocompromised party member). The hostess went out of her way to speak with us, placed us at a large party table away from others, and the waiter wore a mask while serving us. They went well above and beyond to create a comfortable and relaxed environment for us, were incredibly respectful, and the food was delicious. We will absolutely be coming back! Thank you!

This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in Indianapolis. The food is very good and they always have something new on the menu.

Went for Devour Indy and LOVED IT! Margarita while it’s snowing? Make that TWO! Shrimp tacos that taste like . . . actual shrimp (plus more deliciousness). Goodness gracious guacamole! And, ok, I’m not a big fan of mole, but I tried his and it was not bad. Might be great if tasted by anyone who knows. Will happily put this on our “Return To” list!

I have heard so many things about festiva from different friends so we decided to have brunch with our two of our friends. 3 of us did the bottomless drinks for $20/person (you must buy an entrée) 2 of us had peach sangria, and my husband had the paloma. The sangria was ok, usually after 2 drinks I have a slight buzz, there was nothing which is not normal for me. The paloma was disappointing because it was missing ingredients. The best part of a paloma is the smokiness from the mezcal and this did not have that at all. My husband and I had the mexican benedict and the eggs were poached hard. For me the best part of a poached egg as well as benedict is the burst you get when cutting into the center of the egg and it’s rich velvety texture and flavor it adds. The corn biscuit tasted good but it was exceptionally hard to cut especially since I had hand surgery in October. My husband asked for the black bean purée on the side and instead it was entered in the POS as no black beans. Our friend got the biscuit and gravy and was not expecting the corn biscuit which is completely a throw off from a traditional biscuit. The corn tasted good but it left you with overwhelming corn meal taste in our mouth. The pablano cream sauce was devine, for me if my yolks were runny like a poached egg should be it would have been great. Our server was socially awkward which kind of through off the experience which I have never had a server be that way before especially in an urban setting. I’m not saying we won’t be back but I can’t find the value in our $140+ bill and it’s definitely not on our near future re-visit list.
