Ferus is an unassuming and delightful surprise. The menu isn’t fancy but almost everything has a surprising and “up a notch” twist. There’s the beer salt on the fries, crab slaw on the fried green tomatoes and bourbon sauce on the shrimp and grits (not to mention the hidden nuggets of andouille sausage)! After a hot July day, nothing could compare to the cocktail, “nothing rhymes with orange”: orange slice, vodka, coconut and cream. Should have been named a creamsicle.., am I right? The serve their own beer, and every one that I tasted was very true to the style and absolutely delicious. The German Pilsner and the Triple B sour were as good as any I’ve had for the style. Wish they could sell to go, AL three tier and other archaic systems are as bad as what we have in Louisiana.

Stopped in with my mother and sister for a wonderful lunch. The hummus was awesome and the pimento cheese with pepper jelly was out of this world! Great atmosphere and service. Highly recommend!

Nice vibe being able to sit outside with live music for Sunday brunch. Service was friendly and attentive, just a little slow at times. I suspect our server had inside and outside tables to manage. I had the Brunch Burger and my wife had the Mushroom Swiss Burger. They were listed on the menu as smash burgers, but they were more like regular burgers yet still tasty. No complaints, just not super special either.

Such a fun dining experience! We are in town visiting, considering moving to Fairhope, and this was our first stop. Ferus did not disappoint! The service and food were fantastic, and guests and staff were so friendly to offer their tips about the area. Will absolutely be back!

Wow! We love Ferus! I am soooo glad that the restaurant and bar is open! It’s a great location! I believe it was the Fairhope Inn B & B back in the day. I love the wrap around porch with plenty of snazzy, black & white umbrellas & table & chairs! There is a great, cushioned seating nook by the lovely ramp! On the front porch is another seating area. I can imagine how lovely this is at night!
