Omar was amazing. He was engaging, personable, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The catfish was thick, hot, fluffy, and perfectly seasoned. The pork chop was thick, fully cooked, crispy, and just delicious! The fried green tomatoes on the bed of spinach were crisp, firm, and just really good. The rib tips were so tender that they fell off the bone.

Incredible bbq! Absolutely delicious! BTW this location is not a restaurant it is their prep kitchen for the catering business and two restaurants (Oceanside and San Marcos). They have a huge table in the pick up area where you are so very warmly welcomed to eat if you want to stay there.

I was shocked to see that there was a legit BBQ place just down the street from my office. The food was great! The dining area was small and part of their catering operations, but they didn’t disappoint. The fried green tomatoes were delicious and the brisket was moist and flavorful. I’m going to be back!

Great taste, genuine cuisine. But for table service it’s not yet ready; it’s a catering place. I did not receive what I thought I had ordered. At the counter, I even showed the (stressed out) staff person at the register a picture of the dish I wanted, and I still got something else. Ordered to eat there, but given to-go bag. I guess they didn’t want me to eat there. I mean the food is truly AMAZING, but service and seating is a fail.

This is the stop for a comfort food meal. My go-to is the chicken sandwich. They had a small seating area anda great system for to-go orders. I pay around $14 for the meal + tip and it always hits the spot.
