I ordered the pork chop snack which is the special on Fridays. It was tasty and fried perfectly. The fries were also fried perfectly. It also comes with a roll. Ken, the cook washed his hands with soap and water at least 2 times while I waited for my take out order…always a good thing! Ken takes care of the customers at the cash register. When he rang up my order I mentioned it being today’s special and he promptly adjusted the price. Kind and courteous customer service from both men on their 2 man team. The pork chop is very thin but they used the center cut which I prefer. I’m looking forward to trying their fish. One customer liked the chicken breast sandwich, another liked their fish, the first person I asked was there for gizzards. I recommend them for takeout and I look forward to trying their fish soon.

The last 3 orders I got through delivery app were wrong. I even leave special instructions in the “instructions” section to please double check my order before leaving the store due to my previous orders being wrong. Got a delivery today and guess what…… IT WAS WRONG. I’m done spending (wasting) my money here. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Come on,,,,,, why can’t you get it right? Or do you just NOT CARE????? I’m so flipping upset……..

I don’t recommend this Virginia Beach location. This was our 1st time visiting this location. Ordered a 4 pc. chicken dinner and a large liver dinner. I don’t know if the employees don’t know the difference between liver and gizzards or called themselves pulling a fast one on us. I tend to believe the latter. I say this because it wasn’t a few gizzards, but just as many gizzards as livers. I DON’T LIKE GIZZARDS!!!

This is my second visit to this location on Virginia Beach Boulevard. The people are very nice, even funny. My first visit, I got a porkchop special. The food was flavorful and the boneless porkchop was very tasty, a little small, but altogether adequate for a nice lunch meal. The second visit, I tried the catfish bites ad sweet potato pie. The pie was sooooo good. Unfortunately, the catfish bites were too salty for me. However, they were fried to a nice golden crisp and looked very appetizing. I’ll visit again to try other items.

If you go to this restaurant, please make sure your order is correct…I had to tell the cashier that she was missing something in my order…She admitted to not reading the bottom of the ticket. Then, I had to wait an additional four minutes for her to cook the missing item.

Tried calling my order in 26 minutes before my arrival and no one ever answered the phone. That was fine. When I arrived, there were 3 ladies waiting and 1 lady leaving the counter so I called while I was waiting. The cashier just looked at the phone while it rang! Never greeted as I walked up just looked at by the young female with the rust colored braids. Finally ordered and AFTER I paid, she says “there will be a wait.” This should have been told BEFORE I ordered…YOU KNOW, JUST IN CASE I WANTED TO TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. I got my $30.11 worth of food including luke warm fries! I get a business being busy but the customer service SUUUUUUCKS!

Just had the shrimp and fish. Was the worst meal I’ve ever eaten. Fries and hush puppies were raw. Fish tasted burnt and shrimp were so spicey we threw them out. DON’T eat here. This was terrible. Will never eat here again

Walked in with my wife to get lunch, staff was playing loud music making it hard to hear or place your order. Dining area was very dirty and tables were not even wiped clean. Staff definitely needs parental supervision. We won’t be returning

This was my first time trying this location, My Chicken sandwich was fried hard per my request and it was Sooooo good.. The Baked beans were good.. My fries was horrible.. like they had been sitting out for a while. Over my food was good… I would of gave the store a few more starts BUT the Young lady in the front had the worst attitude.. Idk if it was because it was Monday and she ain’t t feel like working or what but her Customer service sucked think she was a Mute or something… Or I was interrupting her personal conversation she was having via her earbuds either way she was a Rude B word. I’ll stick to The Tidewater dr location.
