First I’m biased up since I love having a French restaurant in town. First time Saturday Eve. I had the canard a l’orange. Prepared per spec. Also chocolate fondant was okay. Service looked a little overwhelmed but very pleasant and so legit Parisian pace without the tude actually. I hope they make it but don’t expect any awards unless they step up their game.

Excellent food. Great bistro cafe atmosphere. Wine, and cheese or charcuterie boards. Fresh and great quality food. Good place for brunch.

Loved the food. We got the $60 per couple dinner pre-fix menu (available sun-thurs dinner).

This location recently got a new name and new chef that has created a great menu. I’ve had brunch, happy hour appetizers, and dinner – all amazing. The happy hour menu is perhaps the most impressive. Croquettes, crazy good warm goat cheese with nuanced flavor accompaniments, and a nice tuna tartare on creamy avocado with crispy shallots… and wine prices that are unheard of in LA. The decor is nice, the bathrooms a little less nice, but overall I think the great prices correspond to the quality of the food – you’re not paying a premium for chic ambience. My impression is they will keep refining the menu and I bet they will quickly become the best eats this side of Old Town Pas. The outdoor seating with shade is perfect for enjoying the quaint and quiet Sierra Madre atmosphere. It’s right on the “downtown” stretch so perfect place for eating during a Sierra Madre outing.

French streetside cafe and wine bar. Very rich and delicious french onion soup. Salads were very good as well. Service was excellent. Desserts looked lovely. Most patrons were regular customers. Street parking. Menu changes quarterly..

Looked charming, but really poorly managed to the point that I couldn’t really get a meal. On a Saturday at 5:30 (prime restaurant time) they were out of four things on the menu. We ordered to two burgers. They only had one. I ordered wine, they didn’t have it. We asked for chicken on a salad and they had to check with the kitchen to see if it was even possible. It was so hard to order anything that we just gave up and left. Too bad. I had high hopes.

Excellent seafood dishes and fresh vegetable tart on crispy pastry dough with marinated carrots, beets and goat cheese. Fun vibe and good selection of affordable French wines. Attentive service. We are regular customers in this upbeat Sierra Madre location.

Food is good. Customer service, not so much. If you need to change ANYTHING from a menu item…forget it. The owners will not allow any alteration to what is printed on menu. For example, I asked to withhold the bread from a listed sandwich. Nope. Asked if I could have a salad without the onions. Nope. After unsuccessfully trying to find something on the menu which was in line w/my dietary needs, I let the waiter know that if I couldn’t change a single dish, I would need to find another location for lunch. He simply said “okay”. Could have cared less to lose a customer. Sadly, the owner(s) are not into accommodating simple requests. Not good for business. It’s a SMALL town!

Best kept secret in Sierra Madre. A “true French bistro”. 5 course Prix fix for 2, $65 including wine. Chef Michele is the real deal. Romantic, intimate, attentive service; reservations recommended.

I ordered the $20 grass fed hamburger with the brioche bun but they were out. That was after they didn’t have the marinara to make my girlfriend’s gnocci. The waiter was nice and knowledgeable but the quality didn’t match the price.
