There are many great places to eat in Alamogordo, this however is not one of them. They were out of macaroni and cheese, they were out of potatoes, they were out of nachos. They had no ice for their drinks and the bottled drinks they did have were not cold. Brisket tacos were literally some brisket in a cold tortilla. No cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, cilantro or salsa. Just dry, tasteless brisket in a cold tortilla. The ribs were very tough, cold and with almost no meat on them. It came with a small serving of very bland coleslaw and a cold roll. The bowl of elote with brisket was ok but again, the brisket dry and tasteless. I have no idea how a place like this manages to stay in business. Look literally anywhere else if you’re hungry in Alamogordo.

The food is good. We have eaten there twice. Both times, I had the 1 meat plate. I ordered sausage, and there was a big difference in the amount of meat received both times. The first time, 2 guys were working, and I received a nice portion of sausage. This past Sunday, there were 2 ladies working, and I only received about half the sausage I got on our first visit. Sad cause food is good.

The brisket taco’s were excellent!! Really didn’t need any BBQ sauce for the taco’s. The 1/2 rack of ribs was also very good. The meat so was tender it fell off the bone. Baked bean were ok. The spicy BBQ was not spicy but had a good flavor.

Stopped on the way through the town after a long hike. Serving sizes are amazing. Comfort food BBQ. Prices are great and clean seating.

The Brisket Tacos are one of a kind. Load them up with that BBQ sauce they got and you have one delicious tacos. They have a surprising amount of entrées to choose from. Even pizza. However the highlight is definitely the BBQ dishes. I’ll be definitely coming back for more.

Went today for lunch. Ordered 3 different sandwiches all 3 were amazing. Super flavorful and huge portions. Prices are excellent for a huge sandwich and side. Service is great and staff is friendly. Also ordered a banana pudding and it was delicious. The bananas were not soggy or brown and the waffers were crunchy. Will definitely be back. Keep up the good work!!

This place is fine. They were out of a few items on their menu the night we came in. Chicken and ribs. Like other reviewers said, it is very greasy. Which is true. The pork tacos were pretty good. There was no carbonation in the soda machine either but there was for the machine behind the counter so we got our sodas from there. The staff was nice and apologetic about the items that were out and the soda. If you feel like barbecue give it a try.

I don’t know if this was a one-off type of deal or what, but my recent visit (6/16/23) leads me to believe that I will probably not be returning. I ordered a pint of cole-slaw and two orders of banana pudding (we were going to make fish tacos with the coleslaw). First, that order came to over $19…which seems a bit crazy, but I just wanted to get home so I paid and left. The coleslaw was $8 for pint. When I got home and opened the container I was amazed…amount of coleslaw I got could never qualify as a pint…maybe a 1/2 pint if I’m feeling generous. Then, after dinner I opened one of my banana puddings. There were a total of three slices of banana and no ‘Nilla wafers. I get times are difficult and prices are high, but you don’t engender loyalty with customers by screwing them over.

I got the brisket and mac & cheese sandwich, and it was good. The brisket is flavorful, but not as much smoke or black pepper as I prefer. The mac and cheese was good. I added black pepper to the pinto beans, and it reminded me of the beans catered at the annual John Deere house dinner when I was a kid.

My brisquit was exceptional! Baked beans, delicious, Cole slawgood. But I didn’t get it? They asked me here or to go, I said here, and it came in closed to go container? And my bottle root beer was warm. I would go back again. Not the Styrofoam. More ice on drinks or something different.
