Good little bar in town with a unique selection of food. I’ve never seen pickle fries before and those are amazing. Also the cheese curds are absolutely lovely. The sandwhich also came absolutely packed with meat!

We ate in at Fathead Steve’s but they also have a food truck. Food was grrat and service was on top of everything. Super helpful and fast. Great place for a good quick bite.

Menu looks great and the Vietnamese nachos were phenomenal. For what you get, the price is great and the staff are nice.

This place has such an amazing vibe. The bartender, Paul, made a point to remember my name and addressed me every time I came up to the bar. Great beer selection. Vietnamese pulled pork sandwich and the cheese curds were both excellent. Live music on the patio was stellar. The guy playing the guitar and singing passed around some papers with a list of the songs he knew. Everything was so friendly , by the time we left, we were buddies with a few tables of other people.

We had Fathead Steve’s Food Truck cater our wedding and they were AMAZING. Price – they were very fairly and transparently priced. Options – they worked with us to design the ideal menu and allowed us to choose everything from their world famouns cheese curds, hotdogs, salads, and BBQ wraps. Flavor – we had two food trucks and people by far raved about the Fathead Steve food items. Their flavor was superior and made the day perfect. Guests LOVED the cheese curds. Not too fried and the best flavor they had.

I think our experience was tainted by a pub crawl. I’d give it another shot for sure. The food was decent the bar tender was awesome despite being slammed in the middle of the afternoon. She was very good at communicating the situation and making sure we were good. Atmosphere is a bit confusing. Is it a bar with food. Or a restaurant with a bar? Either way I’d go back to get a more authentic experience.

Tried this place on a whim while we were in town for an event. We ordered takeout – it was quick and super tasty! Walking in we thought it was just a bar, but we were surprised in a good way with the menu options. Love to support small businesses, and this one earned our support!

The portion of the barbeque sandwich was so generous it filled the plate! Tasted fabulous too! Great attention to service and prices were also great!

I had the prime rib philly melt and it was delicious. My wife got a Vietnamese pulled pork sandwich which was also really good. I loved the pickle fries, definitely try them. If I’m ever in la crosse again I would come back for sure

Had a great lunch experience here. Very good food and such nice, professional employees. John welcomed us and even took the time to hunt for a hat for us. We enjoyed duck on a salad and a Vietnamese pork sandwich. Definitely check out this gem.
