I Loved this place. The platters are a decent price, the draught beers and mixdd drinks are on point. The service was outstanding and friendly. The owner treated everybody as if they were family or good friends. If you live in DC, make this a regular spot. If you come to visit and you want some good Bbq, definitely stop by. I did twice during my 3 days in DC.

Food was good but price on the menu (QR code at table was wrong). Original server that greeted us seemed like we ruined his whole not by deciding to dine there. Ordered food and it took a pretty long time guess the kid burger was giving them trouble. No drink menu no menu for sauces. When we asked what the sauces were the server gentleman sighed and read them off like we asked him to name 54 decimal points of pie. When we got out sauces one each had to ask for more numerous times. Food was good but the server/bar guy seemed like I ruined his night since he had to take an order besides joke and laugh with people at the bar.

Brisket sandwich was authentic Texas BBQ, tender and well rubbed with spices. Hot BBQ sauce was good. Sides of fries and hush puppies were good. Service and atmosphere was good and exactly what you would want from an East Coast Texas BBQ joint.

We met Skinny Pete and Little Fat Pete. Very friendly guys. Walked in and greeted right away. Customer quick and fast. Food was good and plenty of food. Great price for the amount of food.

I ordered ribs, Mac, hush puppies, and cheesecake. Ribs were ok. The Mac was HORRIBLE. I don’t know what kind of cheese they use, but it’s not good. I think the hush puppies have cream cheese inside them. Not the worst, but nothing I’ve ever had. I haven’t tried the cheesecake yet, but hopefully that’s good. I doubt I’ll order from here again.

It is incredibly hard to get good bbq in D.C., so my expectations were low. There was one guy running the whole place on a Saturday night; tending bar, coordinating carryout, waiting on all the tables. Fortunately they weren’t too busy and it quickly became apparent why.

For DC this is four star Texas style bbq. Anywhere else three stars. The meat has flavor which is good, the problem is the way it is cooked and what is served. The person who packed our order really messed things up too.

I attended a recent event using Fat Pete’s food truck. The gentlemen working the truck were absolutely amazing. Very professional and polite. One of them even came up with a solution that helped me enjoy their great food, although I had to leave early (and they were still in the process of setting up). Great job, gentlemen!! Your excellent customer service is appreciated.

Thank God was given a gift card to cover my lunch. I was in the mood for BBQ, and wanted to try somewhere new. I partially regret it. Although the delivery was prompt, what I received was unacceptable for the price spent ($16.00) for this chopped brisket sandwich (even though it was tasty) and $5.25 for the mac & cheese (which was pretty good and rightly priced). I’m lucky if there was 3 full tablespoons of meat on here. Look for yourself. I don’t mind paying for a good sandwich, but the price didn’t justify it.

Staff was great and the food was really well done. Brisket was solid, pork belly as well, but the pulled pork was exceptional. Their chili was probably in the upper tier of all chili I’ve ever had (a lot).
