I came here for lunch after a wedding, and we really enjoyed our meals. I had a chopped brisket sandwich with beans and mac n cheese. The brisket was perfect; well smoked and tender. The gentleman behind the counter was awesome; super polite and he chatted us up for a bit.

We tried this place by chance and to say this was great BBQ was an understatement. The only thing better was the great customer service. Both owners were onsite and busy working when we arrived. Recommended getting the jalapeno poppers with homemade ranch. Greatness!

The FAT COW BBQ is a hidden gem! Driving cross country the way my wife and I do decided tonite was BBQ in Lewisville, TEXAS. Best choice I have made in years ordered the 3 meat plate and was not disappointed the food quality was above reproach. Saving this address in my gps for when we pass thru here once again. The owner is awesome greets you as soon as you walk in awesome outstanding customer service even comes out and ensures you have enough and generally concerned about relationship with his customers. The price is lower than it should be for quality and the passion they put in to your food. I recommend the peppers wrapped in bacon as well.

Ordered the nachos. Menu states special cheese blend, so I figured if they take the time to do this, these have got to be good! Menu states it comes with your choice of meat, so you KNOW I’m going to get brisket… What goes better on nachos?! Bowl came out, very healthy portion and presentation was good. But that’s where, unfortunately, it falls flat. Their special cheese blend was canned nacho cheese and a preblended shredded cheese that they stuck on top. Chips where run of the mill yellow circle nacho chips, and with the canned nacho cheese, of course they were all soggy about 5 mins into eating them. Barely anything else on the nachos except cheese. Brisket was old and flavorless, and very few, I guess is supposed to be a ranch style bean mixture. Sadly disappointed. I’m in Lewisville at least twice a week, was hoping for find my new favorite BBQ spot, unfortunately, I’ll have to keep looking.

my brother’s wife recommended Fat Cow because she likes to support local businesses, and we came to pick up a large order for a party. the staff was dutifully polite, and the food is fine. but i don’t feel welcome here, and won’t be coming back. apparently they don’t want business from people like me, anyways.
