Owners Jarael an Army Vet and Yolanda are Pompano Beach natives and after expanding the same great food to a stand-alone restaurant in Deerfield Beach and Coral Springs with catering services to the greater Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade, Fat Boyz BBQ now offers plenty of downhome southern sides. I have lived nearby for 5 years and finally visited. We were the 1st customers this morning at 11:15 and we had the best experience. The staff is friendly and made us feel welcomed. The food is some of the best we’ve had. The collard greens, hands down are the best I’ve had including my own. There is a secret ingredient that makes all the difference. They call it LOVE. The Mac & cheese is very good as well. The star⭐️ was the brisket. Great bark, beautiful smoke ring and melt in your mouth tender. Will be a return customer. Thank you for a great lunch! KB

As the son of a competition bbq judge we have been raised to know what good bbq is. How it should taste. How it should look, feel, all that. Me and some friends were in town. The friends were from Britain and they had never had bbq before. We show up and looking at the building you know the foods gonna be great. I got burnt ends, brisket. And the smoked Mac. Between all of us we got to try each of the different types of meat. When I say every single thing was good that is not a lie. The smoked Mac was the only side we got, but it was absolutely fantastic. The rib tips were very good. The sausage was good. The burnt ends were extremely good. The brisket was the real winner in my book. I can’t imagine a brisket that could be better. Whoever smokes this food is extremely good at their job. The British guys got spoiled getting to experience such good bbq for their first time. Keep up the good work and I will spread the word.

This is the first time me coming here. I know my bbq very well. And this is the BEST pulled pork sandwich I have ever had the blessing of putting in my mouth. They’re baked beans!!! And I don’t like baked beans… out of this world! I wish I could give this place 10 stars.. cause holy shit… I wish my stomach was bigger I don’t want to stop eating it.

the food was absolutely unacceptable.. the potato salad tasted store bought, baked beans tasted like cinnamon & ribs and brisket sandwich was mostly fat.. mac and cheese was warm but also seemed store bought & warmed up. fries were cold. chicken looked undercooked & old also was cold. the service was unpleasant and unprofessional.. attitude, no type of smile , and no manners.. disrespectfully do not recommend this place at all
