I ordered the lunch pork plate $9.99. Food was very good overall. The chopped pork, slaw, and even the toast were above average. The green beans not so much – would not order them again. It was nice to have real table service – not order at a window and then sat down like you get in most BBQ places. Service was a little slower than expected but the server was great once she got to me. The slaw was some of the best I have ever had at a BBQ place. I would definitely go back again.

The food is absolutely perfect! Best ribs I have ever had in my life! The meat just falls apart, and it’s cooked so well that the bones even fall apart!!! The potato salad is perfect, and the catfish is so moist, crispy, and delicious. The pulled pork is amazing. I think they might serve the best chicken salad I’ve ever tasted. So, hands down, I believe anything you order off the menu here will give you satisfaction! Your mouth will water smelling those ribs, and I promise the flavor is so amazing you’ll forget about the delicious BBQ sauce they serve with it! Okay, enough about the food. The customer service is completely outstanding. The manager, Trina, ensures a perfect dining experience. The wait staff is so welcoming. This establishment definitely feels like home. I don’t care where you live. I’d drive hours to get the ribs from here!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ll dream about those ribs!

Wow, if you are ever in Sylvester GA in need of some down-home Southern cooking, you must stop at Fat Boy’s! We stopped by on our way to Atlanta and it was super good. The service was outstanding and the food, had a large variety of options. All cooked to our satisfaction. My wife had smoked chicken and I had the smoked brisket/chicken combo platter with green beans (garlic taste) and get this y’all…cream style corn. You must be in South GA! Will definitely go back on our way home.

4/8/23 Me and my family ate here and I had a 12 oz ribeye. I sat at the booth at the front door. Over 6oz or more was all fat and I had to spit much of it in napkins. Not a good steak. The waitress and the cashier did nothing to perform service recovery. I still tipped the waitress her 20% because I feel the management was not good and did not care.

Great food. Portions are a lot. All customers knew each other. Must be a local bbq place, and everyone in town eats there. So friendly and a true hometown place.

I had the Stuffed Pork Potato. It was so horrible! The Cheese tasted like plastic and didn’t even melt. The Pork tasted like old canned meat. The Potato was dry and rubbery. I had to stuff my mouth with gum. So disappointing! SHAME…SHAME…SHAME.

what’s up foodie fam… so im in sylvester today for work and the lunch hour hit… so i googled this spot when im here in town; but for whatever reason i seem to not have reviewed this spot, tho ive eaten here at least 3 times before… so today i made it a point to walk in the door with a mind to drop em a few stars… now let me first say when you walk in the door you will be greeted with “brown boy what you doing in our town” faces and eyes… like your fresh out of 1958 jim crow south… now, i figure that’s more about the people of the town than the restaurant; so only very slight shade on the restaurant for that. the young women at the counter was friendly and said for me to sit anywhere eating in… i sat close to the back, because i figured i’d have less people looking at me… mind you im sure that look is why today was my first time i ate in, as i usually do… my waitress was diane and she was prompt and had a great tone and demeanor taking my order… she took my order and explained there bbq sauces: house, mustard, and spicy… i ordered sliced brisket, onion rings, and coleslaw w/toast and water. the slaw was terrible… i tried to eat it, but every time it was like a punch in the face… the toast was toast as toast always is… good thickness and garlic flavor… the onions rings where the best ive had in a while… not greasy, not to thick, just righttttt… goldy locks would have been proud of those onion rings… finally the brisket… well sliced and a decent portion… but dry dry… see pics… but the bbq sauce does rescue you from the sliced grey meat… the spicy was ok; but it tasted store bought, thats been doctored up… the house taste homemade with solid flavor… tho at initial bite it did fall flat… nice sweet/mild after a few bites… now the mustard is definitely my favorite… top 3 mustard base sauces in ga ive tasted… and ive tasted a lot of sauce in ga… restaurant and food alone, fat boys is probably a 4 1/2 star… but those looks as you walk in the door, are hard not to count… but if your hungry and looking for decent Q… im sure the “fat boy’s” can make it to go…;)

Based on this visit. I talked myself into catfish filets which is rare for me when bbq is involved and they were great. Screaming hot like hot food especially fish should be served.. A biggie for me.Service was prompt and friendly and they were pretty busy and that’s another plus for me. Not crazy about the slaw or hushpuppies but that catfish was star of the show. Big, crispy, hot!!!!
