A unique spot in downtown Davis. It feels like youre walking into the kitchen. There are vegetables displayed in fridge cases and a small counter where you order food from a one page menu that is updated regularly to reflect the produce. I ordered a large salad and it was delightful. Full of pickled veggies. And the fries are not to be missed.

3 of us stopped in for lunch while looking for quick healthy-ish options. The place could definitely use some love, possibly a deep clean. The table was a bit dirty. We didn’t want to drink our water.

We stopped by this cute little cafe and food delivery service on the drive from San Francisco to Tahoe and were very impressed. The food was extremely high quality and is all farm to table. We also picked up some gluten free bread and pie dough, which turned out to be amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be trying more menu items next time.

We got the burger with soup, red onion omelette with risotto and salad, and rice + black bean + fried eggs. Food and ingredient looks simple and rustic, but it is surprisingly delicious and very flavorful! The owner is the nicest lady too! 10/10 will recommend.

The way REAL food tastes and feels; eat here to experience that. Being worn down on the road trip up North, Ive been worn down by what’s generally available to eat so finding this spot really magnified my soul. Thanks for having this amazing food available!

My lunch was fantastic. The pickled veggies are made in house and paired nicely with the rest of the dish (rice, black beans, fried eggs). Service was friendly. The menu is small and changes based on what’s locally available. I finished off my meal with a house-made chocolate brownie. Yum. I reserve five-star ratings for restaurants that offer a wider range of options (menu, seating, drinks) otherwise this place is tops.

I got to know Farmer’s Kitchen Cafe over the handful of months I lived in Davis. Although unconventional, the thought and care that goes into the food is unparalleled and reflected in the delicious taste. I’ve yet to find somewhere else that creates gluten free bakery items so masterfully with such pure ingredients. The only place I’ve ever had a good gluten free cinnamon roll. I didn’t realize how lucky I was to be in walking distance, and now that I’m in a different state I’m grieving for sure.

Honestly probably one of the best tasting gluten free burgers I’ve ever had. The tomatoes were amazing, the homemade pickles equally good, and everything tasted so fresh. Really appreciated my experience there and I’m definitely going to visit again when I’m in the area!
