First time I’ve ever been to a restaurant that the menu hasn’t changed since it started. Now don’t let that fool you, they are good at it. Service was excellent and courteous, and very polite. If you want to go somewhere that it feels like you are sitting at home enjoying a meal with family and friends, then, you need to check this place out. You will not be disappointed!

Usually not one to post reviews but after reading all the ” how wonderful the place was ” I had to comment. The building is cool, has the ole southern feel to it. The buffet price is 21$ a piece not bad for all you can eat, but the food is not anything like southern food should taste like. The chicken was dry, the Mac and cheese my kids would not even eat, the collard greens were tough and tasted like , the mashed potatoes was ok but had to scrap the crusted top off of them in the warmer something the employees should be doing on a regular, the apple butter was amazing, my wife asked if the chocolate pudding was homemade and they said it was so she ordered it and it was NOT it was from a pack , the corn on the cob was good. The reason for this post is to enlighten you about the place. The food is not made from scratch, it’s not “Southern Food” and for the price not worth it go some where else to eat. If my grandmother was to eat here she would choke somebody out for calling it southern food, she has thrown away food that taste better than the food at the farmhouse.

Wonderful food and . great to find all types of country vegetables while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. Fried chicken and country ham were perfect! The player piano sounded like my mother in law playing whjch added another memorable moment. Service prompt and pleasant. Will definitely return when in the area! Environment inside makes it seem you are definitely not in the heart of commercial Myrtle Beach! Thank You!

This is your grandmother’s home cooking hot off the stove in a cozy buffet style. You are surrounded with old fashioned memorabilia. The food is delicious and the staff works hard to make your meal a pleasant experience. This is a family “must do” at least once a year.

Absolutely THE BEST meal ever! All, home grown in their garden & made from scratch in their kitchen, foods served thanksgiving style from an old stove on antique dinnerware. Pan fried chicken, salt cured ham, beef stew, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob, carrots, collard greens, homemade Cole slaw, hominy, white rice, okra, fried apples, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes straight from the garden. Fresh homemade biscuits with perfectly golden brown bottoms right from the oven with whipped butter and apple butter sauce made in the kitchen. Strawberry shortcake, chocolate pudding, or rice pudding for dessert. Seating is very limited so plan to wait and be sure to sign in right when you get there so your name is on the list. Highly recommend this place as a history lesson for kids. The only problem I could see is for persons with limited vision it is VERY dark inside.

If you love traditional southern home cooking. This is the place to go. Its a Buffet @$21 a plate its a lil pricy, but the food is truly delicious. No frozen or prepackaged food that people try to label “home cooked”. Literally this is like going to grandmas. Could not say enough good things about this place. It’s a little different but good all the while.

You get a $10 meal for $21 something, it’s boring food , nothing special. Idk maybe my me’ maw was just a better cook. For our family it was not worth it ,also if you or anyone in your party has allergies please avoid going in . The allergens in that house were hell on me and me girls, with all the dusty ,musky old stuff all over . We have been in several restraunts like this with this type of theme and they had all managed to avoid the ” old house smell” . If you do decide to try it I hope you have a better experience than we did.
