I’m a GrubHub delivery driver who picked up an order from here at about 7 PM on the evening of August 31. Now, listen. I worked in restaurants for years when I was younger, so I understand that’s the height of the dinner rush, and I understand orders don’t always come out on time. So that’s not what I’m upset about.

Solid food, great prices, and good service. A Buffalo hidden gem to be sure. Try their new pizza spot on the side…good stuff.

First visit. Were able to accommodate us with a few hours notice. A bit fearful it wasn’t a great sign, but the ability to do so was based on seating. Brought to a table in a little back room. Not ideal, but it was the only negative about the experience. Staff was friendly and attentive. Received profuse apologies when I asked for a water refill (being in that back room I guess?). The arancini was very good, crisp coating with cheesey goodness inside, the sauce was sweet, but not cloying. We ordered veal parm and a special, crispy brushetta chicken with basil risotto. Pasta accompanying the veal was creamy, light, and incredible. The chicken was amazing. Crispy, perfectly cooled and juicy, the tomato topping was perfectly seasoned. Looking forward to my next visit!

Fanaras has been a favorite of mine for a while now, but tonight this place left a bad taste in my mouth. Wait staff is always friendly and pleasant but the food seems to have gone downhill. First, they stopped offering bread to go with your meal. If you would like bread and butter to go with your sauce, it’s an extra 6.50 ! I don’t think there’s any other Italian restaurant in WNY that doesn’t offer bread with your meal. Just ridiculous. I ordered my favorite “Sunday pork in the sauce” and the sauce/dish seemed to be sitting under a hot lamp. Then when I dug in, I find that the pasta itself is still sitting in a bunch of undrained pasta water. Is it that hard to properly drain the pasta ? Ravioli were just frozen and heated up. No longer home made. It’s too bad.. I really liked going to this place. Guess it’s time to move on though.

The main dishes were subpar. Our appetizer the caprese salad was delicious and the cannoli we ordered for dessert was good, however the main course left much to be desired. Pork Braciole cost $26 and the menu describes it as

Loved everything about this restaurant on my first(and only) visit. Went with my wife for a date night. The place looked really small and was a little noisy when we got in, but there is a back area that was really cute. Small Christmas tree in the corner. A neat flower twinkle light in another, the ambiance was very nice. Food was delicious and I ate way too much, but it was worth it. Will be going back.

The Webster’s staff always feels like a Family welcoming on every visit. Even with Barb & Kevin out of town we had another Exceptional Experience. From Grace greeting & seating us as well as stopping by multiple times throughout the evening to check on Us, to our Wonderful Server Jessica who went above & beyond throughout our entire visit, to our interactions & conversation with Lilly the Bartender on duty & to our surprise, Susan, who handled with an incredible amout of professionalism & carring to other patron’s in her care. Together, Webster’s Bar & Bistro is a rare & special Family, who made Us feel beyond Special!
