This place has never had good customer service, however, the food was at least good. Yesterday, I purchased a large oxtail platter for about $25 + tax. This was the worst purchase of my life. Not only did the food not smell inviting, but the oxtail was overcooked, dried, and flavorless. The rice and peas were so dry that they were crunchy and the mac and cheese appeared to be a day or two old…no flavor. The cornbread was a block of dryness. I was completely disappointed. I threw the entire meal away, but before I did so, I allowed two individuals to try a bit of each item. They both agreed. Unfortunately, there is no way to get my money or time back… But please do your customers a favor a do better overall. I definitely won’t be back and would not recommend it!

This use to be one of my favorite Jamaican food places. I don’t know what happened but this place has steadily been on the decline. They lack organization and consistency. The last 3 times I went there was an issue with my food. Today is my final straw. I called my order in at 5:30, I was quoted 30 minutes, I get there at 6:03 and my order isn’t ready. My order wasn’t ready until 6:33. I get home and the food is terrible. It looks good but tastes awful. My curry chicken was literally a bunch of bones hidden under a small piece of meat. The cabbage was undercooked, very hard and lacked flavor. The rice and Peas were burnt and had that scorched taste. $17 per plate for 2 plates of food that we couldn’t eat. Add insult to injury the service is rude. Burned food, inconsistent flavor and rudeness I just can’t see past it. What a waste. This will be my last time patronizing this business. I will drive the extra miles to go to Irie Diner off of Park street

I’ve eaten here for years and will continue to do so. It’ll anyone that visits me about the amazing food and generous portions. My relatives that visit from out of state, will tell me what to get them before they arrive. You will not be disappointed. I’ve tried multiple Carribean food locations in the surrounding area, this place clearly is the best choice

The food here usually be very moist, juicy, and covered with a lot of gravy on everything, but these past two times of getting the jerk chicken plate, the chicken has been so dry, the rice and peas are dry just everything dry! Literally no tap of gravy on the rice nor jerk chicken.

Surprised the best jerk chicken I have had in Jacksonville. Was not wet and grilled. Of course ordering Jamaican food there is a wait. I went here some year back I was disappointed with mushy rice. This time was different and I was impressed. Inside doesn’t say much but the food is the main thing

So I tried replacing the coleslaw for another side… not being picky or difficult I love coleslaw just can’t eat it anymore. Told me I could buy another side but it can’t be replaced and the cost of my meal would not change. I did it anyway I was hungry just to get my food and it’s disgusting very disappointed.

Hands down the best Jamaican food in Jacksonville Florida. The jerk chicken is to die for. Curry chicken is definitely the best and very flavorful. The oxtail is likewise. I haven’t had a bad meal from this restaurant. Generous portions and great price too. I highly recommend. When you are in Jacksonville be sure to drop in and pick up something to eat. You won’t be disappointed.

The food was good, even though my order was wrong. The front desk lady has an awful attitude. She is one of the nastiest women I’ve come across in a while.
