Great food and service. We are fortunate to have a Famous Hot Weiner in York. Years ago I used to drive to Hanover for the hot dogs. Very good dogs with excellent homemade chili sauce. Mustard, onions, and sauce is the way to go. I wouldn’t rank them as one of the “best dogs in the USA” category, but they are solid and enjoyable.

The weiners were fantastic, the hamburger was unexp because it came in a hotdog bun. And was a little on the dry, the fried, cheese sauce were excellent as was the milkshakes

When I came into this eatery u was hit with the amazing aroma of meat, cheese and coffee. The employees were very professional and kind. When we got our food, it looked amazing, they even have vinegar for the fries. Immediately I was sold! I’ve never had more amazing food in any other place in this state. The veggies were fresh, the grilled cheese was hot all the way to the end and the fries, best fries I’ve ever had. I will most definitely be coming to eat here to grab a meal!!!!!

I couldn’t tell you what they are famous for. Making inedible food? There is so much grease in the chili it’s making everything soggy and gross. The hot dog it’s self is very low quality. First and last experience.

Not bad, not great. Burger is served on a hotdog bun which could be ok but the patty is bland and just not very good. Fries also pretty bland.

With a name like Famous Hot Weiner, it drew me in from the road since weiners, especially hot ones, are hilarious. I’ve come to be wary eating strictly based on name, and this experience reinforced it. I cannot fathom what they’re famous for. Getting orders wrong, serving burgers that taste like recycled cat litter, or having the most bland atmosphere imaginable are the only things that come to mind.

We started going to this location 2 years ago as it was closer to our home and not nearly as busy as the Hanover location.

Nothing compares to the locations in Hanover, especially the one down town. That said, my one visit to this place was just fine. I stopped for lunch right after they opened on a week day. The food was great as always. I recommend the hot dogs, and the double cheese burgers.
