I was driving from 2 hrs away and wanted to bring my mom Famous Dave’s. I called and asked if they were open. The employee answered yes. I get there, paying tolls along the way, only to be told they weren’t serving Famous Dave’s until 4pm because of their Mother’s Day brunch special.

Wanted a pulled chicken sandwich. So, we placed an order online. We ordered some food, two pulled chicken sandwiches no cheese due to lactose intolerance and a burger. We were unpleasantly surprised to find melted cheese on both pulled chicken sandwiches once we return home. I called the restaurant, spoke with a young lady who stated “the manager was busy, but would call me back.” Well 72 hours later we never received a call. It’s for that reason we won’t return. We all make mistakes, but poor customer service is not acceptable. Just a waste of money.

I was excited to go because I enjoy going to the Famous Dave’s by me. However the food here was just not up to the standard I’m used to. The brisket tastes like it came from a can. The ribs had very little meat on the and were way over cooked. The corn tasted like pyre water with zero flavor. The only real good thing about the meal was the corn bread. The place felt very dirty and not up to par like others I’ve gone to in the past.

Actually it’s Granite City that now says has Famous Dave’s BBQ for takeout. Anyway, the food is always good, and the service as well. The only issue I have is the mixed drinks are $10.00 for captain and coke. For all the places we go to eat, this is the highest I pay anywhere. We were just at a place where the long islands were only $5.50 price on a Saturday night.

Picked up Famous Dave’s at Granite City in Naperville, IL. I love Famous Dave’s but this was not the quality of Famous Dave’s. Granite City is partnering with Famous Dave’s and it is pick up or delivery only. Ribs and beef briskett was boiled, tough, not smoked for more than 15 minutes. Pulled pork was baked, slightly smoked. It was the most disappointing experience for Famous Dave’s. Understandably, this was the Granite City staff trying using the Famous Dave’s name. I ordered a quart of beans for $11, and got a pint. This was so disappointing and will never head back to Granite City for Famous Dave’s pick up. No BBQ sauces were offered, nothing.

I’ve loved Famous Dave’s for years and years. This place is not the same. Your orders take bottom priority over the restaurant orders, the food quality (ribs) is poor – nowhere close to a regular Famous Dave’s. Mistakes on simple orders are to be expected. Such a disappointment.

I ADORE this place. I love the way granite city is a ghost kitchen and they do a fantastic job. I feel so fortunate to live close by to get this amazing food. People are so nice there. I know they’re a little understaffed right now but they are doing the best they can. And bottom line the food is good and I’m lucky to have the ghost kitchen I think it’s a great concept I hope they do it across the entire country! Love this BBQ

This is awesome to have a Famous Dave’s around. The food was fantastic. Everything was cooked fresh. Now they are in Granite City and you can only get it to go. So call ahead because there is a wait.
