Food is very good for a chain, but the service at this location is always below average and sometimes very poor. The chicken is always done perfectly, and the brisket is never dry. The beans are spiced with banana pepper juice, the coleslaw is downright wrong, the wings are overpriced and tiny, but the ribs are meaty, the brisket salad unique & large, and the bread pudding dessert is to die for, especially for only $6! The chocolate dessert is a chunk of very dry cake with nothing special added to cover it up.

I love Famous Dave’s BBQ, especially the chopped pork and the brisket, which is amazing! Their spicy pickles are also excellent if you can handle the heat – some can get pretty hot. The only thing keeping this from being a five star review is the side dishes, which are only OK. I recently had the grilled pineapple, which was good but not noteworthy, and the sweet corn, which was watery and blah.

Dave’s has great BBQ. I have never had bad meal here. The staff is nice and the service is quick. Both the restaurant and the restrooms are clean. Our favorite server/bartender/manager is Mike. Ask for him. He is awesome.

I’ve always enjoyed Famous Dave’s grub, but I wanted to write this review based on my first ever take-out experience at the Rochester Hills location. So there’s four adults and four kids and we’re all really hungry for some good food. After discussing the options (Pizza? Nah. Chinese? Not today. Fast Food? Yuk.) we all agreed BBQ would hit the spot.

I love coming here, the staff have been so friendly and the food is delicious. I personally love their onion strings, hot links, and chicken tenders. The Wilbur’s Revenge sauce brings just the right amount of pain to it’s heat.

We visit Famous Dave’s during the winter time mostly, when my hubby can’t go out and BBQ! They have great brisket and their sauces are on point! Love their meal deals!!!

Place was empty and we were seated in a corner aisle way. Waitress never showed up. After 20 minutes we left. At Chili’s now instead.

Pricey yet so damn good!! Ordered the dinner for two and was surprised at the size of the portion because it was more then enough to feed 2 and could feed more like 3 or 4 so at the cost I still can’t complain but like I said its so good and about as close to a real meal as you can get without making one.
