Couldn’t be happier with my experience at Family table. This place attracts people from all walks of life. College students, college professors, blue collar, white collar; everyone comes to the family table for a no fuss experience.

Amazing breakfast! The bacon was cooked just right! I had the Hungry Man’s Breakfast and it filled me up. Great prices!

Local restaurant with great customer service. The breakfast was what I would expect a small hometown meal to be. As the sign states “nothing fancy, just good food”

If you are within 100 miles of Decorah and hungry, get to Family Table quick! The food is superb and the service is awesome. Ate breakfast and dinner there. And dinner was with 12 of us, accommodated wonderfully! And great pies!! I had the vanilla custard on Graham cracker crust.

We stopped here to eat when we were out on a motorcycle ride. The french fries were excellent; hot and crispy like they should be. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, said we had to have pie, so we did. The sour cream and raisin pie is a must have. Then we got a couple pieces to go also. We were camping so it was a nice treat around the campfire that night

The name says it all. Good food, fair price and good service. Been a tradition since parenting a Luther College student. We drop by when traveling through Decorah. The restaurant is for sale now. Will be interesting when we return – and we will.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in the town of Decorah. I had the steak and eggs omlette and my girlfriend has the fried chicken special. Both meals were served promptly and hot. We were waited on very well and the servers made sure to keep my coffee full. The price of the meal was very reasonable compared to other diners in town. You know this place is good because alot of the local retired folks eat here and it can be hard to get seated. I would highly recommend!

I trout fish in NE IA and this is the number one diner I go to. Very friendly staff and an at-home atmosphere. The food is very delicious, I always get breakfast and the pancakes are great as well as the French toast.

I LOVED this place! Such a mix of customers, from farmers to blue collar workers to college students to hippies. I so appreciated the many vegan options–very pleasantly surprised as the restaurant doesn’t look like it would cater to vegans. Also gluten-free options! Fast, efficient, competent service. The place was packed on a Sunday morning. Also, where there was an option for a version of the dish without the meat, the price was lower, which is only fair, as you’re getting less. Fancy restaurants like Rubaiyat in Decorah did NOT give me this option, despite me asking. The only thing they offered was to not charge me extra for the gluten-free version.

My friend is vegetarian and I love meat. They had meals there for the both of us. Nice down home feeling type of restaurant. Small place, but lots of seats for a small building.
