A piece of small town dining. Family table is nothing more than a quaint diner and it pretends to be nothing more. It’s firmly found it’s place and is happy to be there and so are it’s customers. The place is packed for breakfast, especially Saturday (closed Sunday) but the turn over is fairly quick. It’s the usual selection of breakfast and lunch entries with healthy portions and reasonable prices. If you like sweets be sure to try the monkey bread. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Parking out front is limited but there’s plenty in the rear. Frankly in that downtown area its probably the best breakfast you’ll find, granted at the time of this writing options are limited but as the area grows im sure Family Table will hold it’s own.

This was a super cute family resturant that has absolutely amazng food. This was our first time there and our server Isabella O. gave us great suggestions for food. We ordered the Pesto sandwich, a with a side of tator tots, a Cali Benedict, and a side of sausage gravy and biscuits. We cant wait to go back and try more!

My friend and I heard good things about this place so decided to try it for brunch. It did not disappoint. Justin, our waiter, was friendly and took his time to explained the menu . I had the veggie bowl. The vegetables were fresh and cooked nicely. My friend had the Avocado Eggs Benedict. She really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back.

I was photographing a marriage proposal at a Catholic Church right around the corner from this place and needed a place to come for a quick lunch, coffee, and WiFi. Family Table Cafe really came through as a top notch family diner, a perfect place for brunch. Their menu is stacked with variety, one side breakfast, the other lunch. Coffee is brewed well and refills are free as expected. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken wrap and upgraded to the sweet potato fries. Usually, with a meal like this, I would be chugging glasses of water because of the saltiness, but Family Table did it right! The sweet potato fries had a delightful crisp and sweetness paired with the perfect amount of salt. The buffalo chicken wrap had a nice buffalo kick in every bite, which was nicely curbed by the fresh crunchiness of the lettuce, carrot, and cucumber. In summary, if you happen to be around Downtown Auburn Hills, the Family Table Cafe would make for a brunch date, quick bite, yummy food, and very reasonable prices

The BEST brunch spot in the state. Great food and experience, love bringing in family and friends from out of state. Recommend any omelette with home fries 🙂

Came here for the first time and had high hopes due to hearing such great reviews of Family Table. It’s a very inviting and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and I would probably come back to try the lunch menu and other items. The food was just alright in my opinion. The Parmesan grits I had heard great things about so I wanted to try them. The grits themselves were bland and lacking seasoning. If it wasn’t for the Parmesan tuile, I’d say they would be a total miss. However, when eaten together, it wasn’t half bad. The breakfast quesadilla was not bad. It was what was expected. I think I really need to dive into the menu more in order to get a better review. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get breakfast/lunch. My only wish is that they were open later for dinner.

Carry out orders are ALWAYS undersized and are ALWAYS missing something. It almost seems like it’s done purposefully to save money since you’ll be long gone by the time you actually see your food. Used to be our go to breakfast spot, but I think I’m done after the latest order where the burrito was roughly half the size it used to be (this was was like 4 inches) and came without the requested pico and sour cream, again. Previously had issues with chicken sandwiches where they had to be remade because they were pounded 1/4 in thick or less. Can’t justify spending my money here anymore.

This place is the greatest for breakfast! The staff is super friendly, high energy, great vibe. The breakfast food is extremely fresh and nicely prepared, like homemade. The cleanliness and upkeep shows a lot of pride. We can’t wait to try lunch!!

Had a bit of an awkward first experience here yesterday. We walked in for takeout because our friends had just ordered some & recommended it to us. The restaurant was mostly empty, yet we stood next to the “please wait to be seated” sign for a few minutes. I grabbed a menu to start browsing over & we ended up scooching forward & standing at the “breakfast bar” so we were out of the way of the front door. All of the restaurant staff made eye contact with us but did not greet us or say anything at all to us. After 5-8 minutes of standing there, wanting to put in an order, a staff member rolling silverware told us about the cash register hidden in the back of the dining area where you’re supposed to order from. We ordered our food, sat at the bar & it didn’t take long for it to finish. The food itself was pretty good but my husband wasn’t given any sour cream or salsa for the quesadilla he ordered. Not a bad place, we just would’ve liked to have been greeted properly.

In a perfect world, this place would have a 5 star rating because every aspect of services is far above mediocre (on purpose). Anyone with a good head on their shoulders knows perfection is not realistically obtainable. Therefore, sometimes, the customer has to make an effort to make their needs known instead of assuming all liability for perfect service falls on the business – only.
