I came into the restaurant to have my first glass of wine at a bar, and I chose this sweet spot because of times I’ve come before and enjoyed my experience. The food is great and I highly recommend the Fairhope burger, or any burger to be honest. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and I always feel welcome. The only thing I will say is that the restaurant itself and staff members need a little TLC. They’re understaffed but I can tell they’re working hard to make us customers happy. Nonetheless, this is a great spot and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t already been to Fairhope Grill and Bar.

Just tried to have a burger at Fairhope’s Grill and Bar. It was the worst experience I’ve had a restaurant in my life. That includes the time I got salmonella from undercooked wings at a place in college. When we arrived there were 3 people at the bar and no one sitting at any tables. The bartender came over and got out drink orders and things seemed to be going OK. When she came back a few minutes later to get our food order, she apologized for the wait. It was cool, no problem. She came over again later and apologized for the wait again and stated she was having to cook and run the bar. We said no problem. The problem arose when after a couple of other people came in to sit at the bar, and a couple of tables. For about 15 minutes all we could hear was curse words and chaos from the kitchen. At least 15 minutes, probably more. I wanted to leave. Another woman brought out my wife’s nachos about that time. I said I wanted to just leave because of the cussing and ranting and raving from the kitchen. The nacho meat was cold and the chips were stale. 10 minutes later, I timed it, my burger came out. I’m a carnivore, I love meat. I’m good with a medium burger. This thing was raw. It was cold and the bacon was burnt. I left money to pay for the drinks and left. No way was I going to try and make things right with chaos going on in the kitchen. Use to love to eat here. Wings were always great. But I can’t go back after this experience.

Ordered normal bar fare. Fried foods were way overcooked, both the wings and chicken tenders. Chicken tenders were some odd shaped chicken parts and so over cooked they were inedible. Nachos were tasty but more like a taco salad over chips with the romaine lettuce added.

The owner was a complete jerk after I commented on his FB about his wings being under cooked. Instead of apologizing and try to fix the issue he decided to verbally attack me. From reading his other customer reviews I can see he doesn’t care about his customers nor should he be in retail. Avoid this place as there are many good places to eat in Fairhope and surrounding areas. No need to subject you out your friends and family to a jackass with raw chicken.

If you aren’t a local or are new to the area I wouldn’t give this place a chance. Not worth the rude stares and no greeting upon entering. I know the bartenders greeting ability worked for the guest that came in behind us on a Tuesday night. We sat our selves at a table, realized the weird vibe and walked out.
