Started over 39 years ago as a family-owned and operated business, the story began when the family moved from Texas to Seattle, and decided to start a business making chicken like they used to back home.
Lewis and the family saw their mission as simple: Provide fresh & high quality chicken and good homemade side dishes, served with fast and courteous service. In short, Ezell’s Famous Chicken had to be Fresh, Good and Fast!
Ezell’s has become a household name in Seattle and developed a loyal following throughout the PNW. Today, there are 14 locations, a dedicated catering division and two mobile food trucks to serve the growing customer base.

Kent, WA location manager said her name is Naomi. I tried to explain to her the chicken she sold is old, dry and cold. She tried to blame door dash and told me she can’t do anything and contact them. I told her it’s not DoorDash. It’s her restaurant she manages and decided to sell chicken cooked hours ago. I will be contacting head office tomorrow as soon as they open. This manager is very uneducated in safe food handling. And needs to be trained before someone gets sick. Very disappointed and will never order from this restaurant again. Photo attached of the disgusting chicken we received. And she says it was fresh????? Very rude and zero knowledge in the food industry.

Grew up going here but the fact that a tenders combo is now $20 is beyond insane considering that they are serving $1-$1.80 worth of chicken. Disappointed with pricing to take advantage of hard times.

The food is always great, the service fast. Highly recommend. I do have to say if you use doordash sometimes they take forever to get to your house so the chicken isn’t as good as when you pick it up yourself.

I’m not sure why this place is highly rated. It’s ok. We’ve tried it 3 times or 4. Original chicken, while cooked pretty good and crispy, no flavor. Mashed potatoes, barely any flavor, and the last order was runny. Coleslaw, barely any flavor. The rolls, pretty amazing. This is how it was each time. Just not seeing the awesomeness that is raved about.

It’s always something with this location. Didn’t answer the phone so after many tried ordered online. Went to pick up only to be told that “ something happened” and my order got kicked out the system and now they are out of chicken . They need to go ahead and shut down . It’s ALWAYS something
